"Mommy!" a small voice exclaimed while I was attacked by a small boy. He wrapped his arms and legs around me, and I stumbled backward because I did not expect to be attacked by a kid, especially a kid that was supposed to be up in the playroom.

"Mommy?" Garrett asked, looking perplexed. He looked at me and then at my son, who had let go of my legs. Again, he looked at me with wide eyes. "Mommy?"

"Yes, I am a mom," I said. I scowled at my son; he looked down and dug his foot into the ground before he placed his hands behind his back. I folded my arms across my chest, and my scowl deepened. "I thought I told you to stay in the playroom."

"Cason and I grew bored," he said. "We wanted to help."

"Where is Cason?"

"He's coming with two new friends." He held up two fingers. "They are nice. Can we keep them?"

"You can't keep people," I said. "No matter what your uncle says."

Jonah pouted, but that stopped when two other children ran out from underneath the bushes. He ran over to Cason and grabbed his hand, pulling him over to me.

"Cason," I scowled, folding my arms across my chest.

Cason smiled innocently and waved, taking his hand out of a female, who looked at me with narrowed eyes. "Hi, RyRy," he said innocently, and I rolled my eyes. "Please don't tell Daddy."

I rubbed the bridge of my nose and shook my head because I was going to tell him what had happened. "You know that I am going to have to, Cason. You were not supposed to get out of the room. Did Callie follow you?"

"Yes," they chorused.

"I don't know where she is, though," Jonah said. He pointed at the girl who was looking down innocently. "That is Anne Marie."

"My cousin," Garrett grunted. He scowled at her, and she looked up and grinned innocently. His scowl deepened, but she didn't care at all.

The girl looked at me and smiled, excitement and mischief filled her eyes, and a small smile appeared on my lips because I knew that look all too well. "Hi, I'm Princess Anne Marie. Who are you?" She held out her hand.

I smiled wider and shook her hand. "Rylan," I said. I noticed her looking at the pale scars on my arms and felt a blush on my face. "Um..." I cleared my throat and took my hand from her grasp. "I'm Jonah's mother."

"Nice to meet you. It's Your Highness, though. I think you should call me that."

I shook my head. "You're not my queen or princess," I said. "So, I will not be calling you "Your Highness."" I winked, and I earned an eye roll and a scowl with a hidden smile from the young female.

"She doesn't even call me "Your Highness,"" Cason said, pouting while he folded his arms across his chest. He smiled when I mocked pout, and I shook my head at the young Demon Prince. "I have a title, too."

"No, you don't," Anne Marie said, narrowing her eyes at him.

"Yes, he does," Jonah defended him. He narrowed his eyes at Anne Marie, baring his teeth at her.

"As I told Garrett, we are from different realms of Earth," I said. "If we are on Earth."

Anne Marie narrowed her eyes at me. "Ok, how did we get here, Miss Smarty Pants?"

I shrugged. "Spell or someone called us." I rubbed my forehead grimacing. "I remember being in the living room with other people because we were setting up for my twins' first birthday party. Maverick and his mate had just walked in when everything started to..." I furrowed my brows tighter, trying to come up with the word that I had felt.

"Spin?" Garrett asked, and I nodded. "Strange, we were in the dining room about to eat something else when the world started to spin for us."

Anne Marie made a face and shuddered. "Really? I thought it was because of that thing that Addama had cooked. She can sometimes cook nasty things." She cocked her head. "The first thing we ate was rather disgusting. It tasted like snot."

I held back a snort, amused. "Oh, believe me, I know about bad cooking. Tabitha, the witch queen where I live, made me something that looked and tasted disgusting."

"Then why did you eat it?" Garrett asked, giving me a weird look.

I furrowed my brows because I had wondered the same thing. However, I did not really question it because Tabitha had given me a look that said I would know in time. "She said it was for my protection. She said it would help me find my way back home."

"And, I agree with Mama," Jonah said. He looked at his best friend, and he nodded before he looked up at Garrett. "It was nasty."

Someone crashed through the bushes, and I shoved everyone back and bared my teeth while I protected them. Two females looked around, fear in their eyes.

One of the females, Gigi, spotted the children behind me and relaxed. "Oh, thank Goddess," she said. She caught the look that I sent her and cringed away from me. "I tried to keep them in the room, but they had gotten hungry."

"Who are you, and why are you looking at my friend like that?" the female asked. She narrowed her eyes and bared her teeth, and I raised an eyebrow.

"Her Alpha and best friend," I replied. "Names Rylan." I paused and looked her up and down. "And you are?"

"Garrett's friend and a Beta. Names Celeste, but I go by Cel." She looked behind me and stared down at Anne Marie, and she waved innocently. "I thought you were supposed to stay by my side. Your brother would be pissed if something happened to you."

I relaxed slightly and moved to the side, letting them see the other children. If Gigi didn't attack Cel, then I was sure that it was safe. Besides, Anne Marie seemed to know her, so I had a feeling that it was safe.

Anne Marie shrugged her shoulders. She looked indifferent about something, and I smirked. "It won't be the first time, and it won't be the last."

"Who does that remind you of?" Gigi asked, giving me a pointed look. She rolled her eyes when I just grinned innocently. "Who runs off when they aren't supposed to?"

I shrugged my shoulder, smirking. "It isn't my fault. I don't know what I will do if you guys get hurt or worse killed."

"Well, you are going to have to stay with the group. We don't need you turned again."

"Turned?" Garrett asked, confused.

"Long story."
