I ran towards the scream, out running those that I had found or had found me. My whole body was tense, and I prayed to the Goddess that I wasn't too late to save this person, this child.

I ignored everything around me; my whole attention focused on saving this kid from whatever was happening to them. My heart pounded in my chest, and I prayed that I wasn't too late to save this child.

I covered my head while I ran through a bush and out of the forest. I moved my hands away from my face and noticed a girl hanging onto a log over a deep ravine.

Vulcan was reaching out to her, trying to get her to let go and grab hold of his hand. He was on the other side of the ravine, closer to the girl than I was.

Callie stood by his side, and she looked worried. She looked up when I crashed through the bush, her eyes filled with tears. "Ry!" she exclaimed when she saw me. "Help!"

I was about to say something when a flash of white appeared out of nowhere and almost attacked Vulcan's unprotected back.

I snarled and shifted into my Wolf form and jumped over the ravine effortlessly. I shoved the white flash, a female Wolf, away from my Protector and the girl that he was trying to help.

The female Wolf got up from where I had shoved her and growled, her eyes narrowed. She curled her lips and showed her teeth. Fury burned in her eyes, but she didn't attack.

I snarled and flattened my ears against my head. I narrowed my eyes as well, but I didn't attack. I had no idea who she was, but I was not going to let her hurt my Protector.

A lot of 'Sam's' and 'Ry's' filled the air as people started to gather around us on either side of the ravine.

"Hold on, Felicity," a blonde haired male called, his brown eyes filled with worry as he looked at the little girl.

"I can't reach her," Vulcan said from behind me. "Percy."

"On it," Percy said. Power filled the air as the Young Prince started to mutter a spell, connecting the two sides. "Ok, Kiddo, I want you to let go of the tree," he said after he had finished the spell.

"No, don't let go of the tree," the male that had spoken first said. "Don't listen to him."

"I'm a Warlock, Alpha," Percy said. "I made something underneath her feet, and it's connecting both sides of the ravine, so you all can come across and not jump."

"But, there is a Vampire in front of her. Are you really sure that you want him near her?" the first male asked. "He could kill her."

Vulcan hissed, and I growled, and the female growled at me. "I will not hurt her," he said, still watching the girl and making sure that she was safe. "I do not drink Werewolf blood."

"Sure, that is what they all say," Cel muttered, and Vulcan scowled.

"He's right," Cooper said. "Vulcan will not hurt a child, especially a female child."

"And, he doesn't drink Werewolf blood," Jonah piped up, and the female looked partially at him unamused. "Mama trusts him with her life, so..." He looked at me. "Mama, can we come over?"

I grunted and nodded. I had stopped growling at the other female, but I kept an eye on her. I had no idea what was happening, but I had a feeling that the girl was safe because the female relaxed slightly.

Two giggling boys ran over to me, and one attacked my front leg, and the other attacked my back leg.

I relaxed a little more and nuzzled my son, keeping an eye on the female. I licked his ear, knowing that he hated it, and smirked when he scrunched up his nose.

"Eew," he said, rubbing his head on my leg. "Stop doing that."

I grunted and shook my head. I nudged my son out of the way and gently shoved the Young Prince out of my way, too.

I shifted into my human form and watched while the female before me shifted as well. "I won't stop," I said, catching my son as he jumped on me.

"You should," Jonah replied. "You have clothes on," he whispered, loudly, in my ear. "They didn't tear."

I rolled my eyes and stared at the female before me. I forced a smile on my face and held out my hand towards her, my son at my side. "Hi," I said, "you must be Sam. I am Ry."

"How do you know my name?" the female asked, narrowing her eyes at me. "Who are you? Why are you associated with Vampires?"

"Because it is my job to be associated with Vampires, Demons, Faes, Witches and Warlocks, and Werewolves," I replied. "And, Garrett told me that your name was Sam," I replied.

"So, you are the Alpha of the GreenRock Pack?" the blonde haired male asked, walking over to his mate. He placed a kiss on the side of her forehead.

"Yes," I confirmed and nodded. I leaned against my mate when he came over, glad that he was alright. I glanced around to see that there were a lot of people and watched as the people mingled and checked on their loved ones.

The female, Sam, furrowed her brows. Like her mate, she had blonde hair and brown eyes, but her eyes were more of a goldish color than his. "Alpha?" she asked, and I nodded. "Why not Luna?"

"Because I gave up my position to be Alpha," Cooper replied. He flicked his son's ear, and he groaned out in annoyance and swat at his father's hand. He shrugged and grimaced. "It's a long story."

Sam pursed her lips. "Well, I want to hear it," she said, leaving no room to argue. "That is the only way I will know if I trust you or not."

"And, I want to hear yours, as well," I replied. "But I think that we are going to have to trust each other. Something in me tells me that we won't be able to get back to our packs without the other pack's help."

"Do you know where we are?" the male asked.

I shook my head. "But I am going to find out."
