I followed close behind Rylan when she continued to walk to the kitchen with the rest of the group following us. "So... are we still saying that we need to eat first before the kids?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in question, and she nodded in confirmation. "Why?"
"If there is a spell on the food or not, then I want whatever it does to... happen to us and not to them," she said and gestured to her son and his friend, and I looked at them before I looked at her again. "I don't think you want anything to happen to your sister, right?" She raised an eyebrow in question while she gestured to my sister, who had moved to my side.
I bit back a small smile and shook my head. "No," I said, biting back a small chuckle. "I do not want anything to happen to her." I moved a hand through Felicity's hair, and my sister wrinkled her nose and waved her hands around so that I wasn't touching her hair any longer.
"Stop, Tommy," she said with a small groan in her voice, and I couldn't help but chuckle while I let my hand fall to my side. "Don't touch my head. I don't like it at all."
"I know," I said and chuckled while I shook my head. "But it is still fun to do." I touched her head again, earning an annoyed groan from her while she swatted my hands away and moved closer to Sam and away from me. "Hey," I said and pouted, and she instantly turned around and stuck her tongue out at me. I sniffled, earning a small snort from my mate. "That's mean, Fel."
Rylan bit back a snort and covered it with the clearing of her throat while she looked at someone else that sort of looked at her, and I had a feeling that he was her brother, especially with the look he gave her. "Doesn't that remind you of something?" she asked and raised an eyebrow in question.
"What? The relationship between the two of us or what you are seeing with the twins and how they are acting with each other, even though they are still so young?" he asked and mimicked her, raising an eyebrow in question.
Rylan rolled her eyes and scowled. "Between us two, Dumb Nut," she said, and her brother smirked. She moved a hand through her hair and bit back an annoyed sigh while she pursed her lips in annoyance. "Though it is the same thing with the twins."
Her brother, Rhett, bit back a small chuckle while he shook his head. "Ky reminds me so much like you that it is not funny," he said. "I am scared of what she will be like when she is older," Rhett added while he flashed her a small smirk and a wink.
Rylan rolled her eyes and scowled, pressing her lips into a thin line. She did not say a word while she pushed open the kitchen doors and looked around before she stepped aside so that we could follow her to reveal... nothing.
No food was prepared for us, and it looked like there was nothing for us to eat, much to my disappointment as well as the others that had followed us into the kitchen.
"Seriously?" I asked with a small groan in my voice, and I couldn't help but pout while I folded my arms across my chest and scowl. "Does that mean there is not anything for us to eat?"
"I do not think that is the case..." Rylan said. She furrowed her brows and frowned while she looked around before she started to make her way to the fridge. "I mean, it would be a good idea if we made it anyway, without any magic." She looked at Percy when she said that with a small scowl on her face and narrowed her eyes in warning.
Percy bit back an annoyed sigh while he rolled his eyes and scowled. "Fine," he said. "Then let's see if there is food that we can cook, but who is going to cook?"
"I can," Rylan and my mate said in unison before they looked at each other. They didn't say another word and stared at each other with something in their eyes that I didn't know and didn't know if I wanted to know.
"Both?" Rylan asked and raised an eyebrow in question. "Do you want us both to cook?" she asked before she cocked her head and studied her.
Sam pursed her lips in annoyance but didn't say a word. She looked at me before she looked at Rylan again, and I had a feeling that she didn't want to cook with her.
"Or... Sam could just cook for us..?" Cooper asked and raised an eyebrow in question while he looked at Rylan. "I mean, it should be fine, and I don't think it'd be a good idea to start a fight..."
Rylan bit back a small snort, looking very amused and not upset that Cooper told her to give it up. "That's fine," she said and looked around before she bit the inside of her lip with her cheeks turning red. "I think I need to find a bathroom..."
"Same," Cel said and breathed a small sigh of relief while her shoulders sagged. "I am glad that someone had to say it."
Rylan bit back a small laugh and slowly nodded. "Ok," she said before she looked at the other people that were gathered. "Who else needs to find a bathroom?" she asked and raised an eyebrow in question while she looked at us.
Garrett was about to raise his hand but stopped when he saw something in Sam's gaze. He sighed and rolled his eyes while he scowled before he pressed his lips into a thin line. "I guess I will wait," he said. "It seems to me that my Luna needs me here." He flashed Sam a small smirk and a wink, and she rolled her eyes and scowled. "I'll go pee later."
"Well, I don't have to go, so I guess I am going to stay here," Cooper said, and his mate bit back a small snort and rolled her eyes.
"Very funny, Coop," she said and looked at Sam. "Go ahead and get cooking. If you need help, Gigi is a good cook and so is Percy. They can help you if you need it. Vulcan is, too, but..." She trailed off while she shrugged and grimaced. "I understand if you won't let him cook."
"I am also coming with you, Rylan," Vulcan said and looked at her with Callie still in his arms, and his hair was a mess with random bows in his hair.
"What the fuck is wrong with your hair?" she asked with a small laugh while she stared at his hair before she looked at Callie with a raised eyebrow. "Really?" she asked and raised her eyebrow higher in question. "Why?"
Callie shrugged and grinned. "I was bored," she replied, "and Vulcan let me do it, so..." She cocked her head to the side, and her grin grew wider. "I did one and then it got out of hand. Doesn't he look amazing?"
"Yes," Rylan said and laughed, nodding. "He looks amazing." She cleared her throat and grew serious. "Now, come on, let's go ahead and find a bathroom."
And with that, half of the group left to go find a bathroom, leaving our groups split in half.
Oh, Goddess help her...
