"And how are you going to do that?" Sam asked, glaring at the female named Ry.

Ry shrugged. "Get into trouble and scout," she replied. She looked at the sky and pursed her lips before looking at the man that had scared my sister. "Vulcan?" she asked, seeing that he hadn't turned to face us.

"Părăsi, (leave,)" he said in some other language. "Acum. (Now.)"

"No, not happening," Ry replied, and he hissed at her.

"Wait, you know what he is saying?" Cel asked. "Co-ol."

"I can, too," Sam muttered under her breath so that I, well, Ry and I, could hear her.

Ry pulled her gaze off of him and looked at Sam. She looked her up and down before nodding her head. She turned to look at Vulcan, not saying a word to what she had heard from Sam. "I am not leaving you," she said, taking a step forward.

I tried to link my mate and frowned when I couldn't. There was this... thing blocking from linking her, and I had a feeling that I wouldn't be able to contact anyone else either.

"Rylan," he warned.

"No, not when you have a son and a Beloved at home. I can not leave you."

"Aş putea să te omor. (I could kill you.)"

Ry scoffed, and I had a feeling that she rolled her eyes. "Ya, like you can kill me. How many times have people tried to kill me?"

Vulcan shrugged his shoulder but didn't reply.

"Look at me, please."

Again, Vulcan shook his head.

Ry groaned and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "Porc încăpățânat. (Stubborn pig.)"

Vulcan hissed out a warning, and Ry snorted. "Rylan," he warned.

"Vulcan," Ry replied in the same tone. "I am not leaving you. I cannot leave you." Her voice shook, and the male named Vulcan flinched as if he hated hearing the cry in her voice.

"Trebuie, (you must,)" he replied.

"Why?" she asked.

"Aş putea să te omor. (I could kill you.)"

"Didn't you already say that?" Ry asked, raising an eyebrow.

"E speriată de mine. (She's scared of me.)"

"Who?" Ry asked. Confusion filled her voice. "Who is scared of you? Why?"

"Wait? Someone is scared of Vulcan?" one of her men asked from where he was picking on a female. He looked up and looked at him before looking at Ry. "Who? He is harmless."

Vulcan hissed out a warning but didn't move from his spot. His whole body was tense, and I could tell that he was straining himself, trying not to do something.

Ry looked in the direction of the guy who had spoken, looking annoyed. "Shut up, would you, Thaddeus?" she asked. "And, could you move away from your sister?"

The male, Thaddeus, took a couple of steps away from his sister. He raised his hands and backed slowly to Cooper and us. "Don't use my real name, Ry. I know that means I am in trouble."

"Good," she replied. She turned her gaze back to the kneeling man. "Who is afraid of you?" she asked.

"Fata mica. (The little girl.)"

"The little girl?" Ry asked. "Are you talking about the little girl that was hanging on the tree?"

"Da. (Yes.)"
