Thomas kissed my hand and squeezed it before he pulled away, making sure to keep my hand in his. He saw Cooper staring at us, and he grinned while Cooper scowled and narrowed his eyes. "What is with the look, not Alpha?" he asked, and the other male's scowl deepened.

"T-" I was about to say when a laugh sounded from the area that Ry was in. I raised an eyebrow a little amused but annoyed that she laughed and interrupted me from asking a question.

"Not Alpha?" she asked, amusement filling her voice. She cleared her throat to cover another laughter, and her mate rolled his eyes but didn't look angry. "When did this title happen, Coop?" she asked, the laughter in her voice.

"Not now, Ry," he said, and again, he did not sound mad. "We can talk about that later. You have to worry about the Vampire King that is in there. I don't think you need to get hurt by him again."

"He'll hurt himself, too," Ry replied, "so, let's talk about this." She muttered another curse under her breath, and I had a feeling that she got hurt again because he cursed himself. "Come on, fight me better than that, Stupid."

"Nu mai lupta atât de mult și îți pot arăta cât de multe daune pot provoca, lupule, (Stop fighting so much, and I can show you how much damage I can cause, Wolf,)" the Vampire King hissed, and I had a feeling that he narrowed his eyes and bared his teeth at the other female.

I heard Ry scoff and had a feeling that she rolled her eyes. "Ya, right, Vulcy," she said, and the Vampire hissed at the nickname. "I am not giving up without a fight."

"So, what is happening?" Tommy asked, changing the subject. He looked at the area that they were in before he looked at her group. "Why are they fighting, and why is he acting like this?"

"I think they are trying to strengthen the bond between them," Giselle said with a small shrug. "Apparently, this is how it happened the first time."

"First time?" I asked curiously and raised an eyebrow. "Is he her second mate?"

"No," Ry said instantly before anyone else could answer. She smacked him, and there was a grunt from the other person there. "We're not mates. However, he is my protector as was stated before. He's my first "known" protector."

"She "met" him first, even though she knew us," Giselle explained. "We didn't know that we were her protectors until later on." She shrugged.

"But since I am her older brother, I have always been protective of her," Rhett said. "I guess that doesn't make me first, then, does it?" He looked towards the area where his sister was at and raised an eyebrow in question.

She groaned sarcastically, and I had a feeling that she rolled her eyes. "Fine, he was the one that knew first," Ry said. "Happy, now?"

"Ecstatic," he said sarcastically before he cleared his throat and grew serious. He looked towards the sky before he looked to where his sister was at again. "How long is this going to last?" he asked while he raised an eyebrow in question. "We should probably find some information or somewhere to stay the night here soon."

"I think we're almost done," Ry replied. "He hasn't attacked me in a while, and all he is doing is staring at me."

"Good," I said before I moved a hand across my face, feeling exhausted, and I had a feeling that everyone here was exhausted and wanted to find somewhere to sleep. "Why do you have so many protectors?" I asked. "I'm just as powerful as you and only have one."

If not more, I added silently with pursed lips, but I had a feeling that the group knew that was what I was thinking because they looked between me and then the area where she was at.
