im walking through the school's corridors, on the way to my maths class, when i see zuko standing by his locker.

i give him a slight smile, which he returns.

- hi, erity! - i hear he calling.

wait a second. in all the times we talked, i've never told him my name. how does he know it?

- how do you know my name? - i turn to him, curious.

- i, uhm, i kinda heard you talking to one of your friends. - he blushes. - does that even matter?

- i guess it doesn't! - i shrug. - i didnt bump into you this time! - i shoot him fingerguns.

- lucky me! - he rolls his eyes playfully and then laughs.

his. laugh. is. adorable!

an asshole with an adorable laugh, of course.

- i gotta go to my math class now! - i wave at him and start turning around, but then i see him coming by my side.

- i also have maths right now! - he rubs the back of his neck. - can we go together?

i nod with my head, finding kinda weird he is being nice to me. i literally hitted him almost each time we've met. and he was also kinda rude to me all of those times.

anyways, guess he decided to change.

we arrive at the class and sit next to each other. i am about to tell zuko something, but i stop at the middle of the sentence when i see her arriving at the class.

tall. dark hair. bangs. low pigtails. black lipstick. totally emo stile.

i see her walking through the class and sitting in the front row.

she is intelligent.

- hello? erity? - zuko tries to call my attention. - are you ok?

i see a friend calling the girl:

- mai! come sit near us!

her name is mai.

i continue looking at her, but i feel a hand on my shoulder, which makes me jump with surprise.

- are you ok? - zuko asks. - you're drooling a little bit.

i look at him, with my mouth still opened, but then i close it and clean the drool with my hand.

- i'm fine! - i blush.

- you were going to tell me something, but stopped in the middle of the sentence.

- i guess i forgot it.

he looks at the girl my eyes were staring a short time ago.

- oh, you were looking at mai. - he says, a little bit surprised.

- you know her? - i ask, excited.

- yeah, you could say we were friends... - he admits, looking away from the beautiful girl.

the teacher arrives and start saying things that i should be paying attention on, but everytime i try to look at him, my eyes go back to mai.

she looks so cool.

zuko notices that i'm not paying any attention in class and writes me a note.

do you have a crush on mai?

i look at him, blushing.

no! i just think she's cute

i send the note back to him and he shrugs.
