'No.'
'You can't say no, you've barely seen it!'
'No, it has tassels.'
'That's your issue with it!?' I groan and smack the back of his head. 'Wear it or go nude, your choice.'
'I have a suit.'
'nO!'
He sighs and plucks the blazer out of the box, turning it around to take it in. 'i'll wear it, just because you're being a pain.'
'Yay-!!'
He put the set on, thankfully fitting in it perfectly, grumbling the entire time. 'I look like I've joined the military.'
'Yeah, the hot military. We're matching.'
'How on earth are we matching? They're completely different colours.'
'See but you don't understand the first thing about fashion. It's not about the colour, it's about the ~theme~.' I jazz handed. He rolled his eyes at me, adjusting his cufflink fanatically. Sigh, we can't have it all, can we?
I think he looks so pretty, all dressed up. I just wish he would change up his hair a little, I mean he spends so long fidgeting with it only to mess it up and let it air dry. 'Alright I need to do my hair, you sit there.'
I walked back into the bathroom and grabbed the blow dryer. Holy shit my hair is long. I dried my hair so that it would slick back and grabbed a thin hairband, tying up the back of my hair so that only my fringe and my nape were untied (like I could tie up the nape it was still so short).
I think I look great. I hope I look great.
I went back out and opened up the jewellery cabinet, putting in some dangly black earrings that I bought the other day (shocker). I looked at myself in the mirror I set up on the wall, satisfied with how I looked (if you want to know, it's the book cover).
'Are you ready?' I smiled, walking over to Zero who was leaning against the wall.
'I was ready like half an hour ago.' he grumbled, following behind me as I exited the room.
I forgot other people lived here.
My eyes glanced down the hallway where boys from different years were walking out, stopping to stare at Zero and myself as we walked past them. I felt my confidence wavering, trying to figure out if they're looking at us with a "wow goddamn" or "Jesus, pretentious much?' look. I wish I could figure out how to use telepathy.
We walked down the stairs and out to the lounge area, where a silenced hush fell over the day class as they saw Zero and Me together.
Again, I forgot they don't know I'm Akara.
Fuckkkk.
'Wow, you guys are so hot.' I whip my head around to see Mary behind me, waving up. I smile at her and turn around, also seeing the other two girls there, minus one Yuki. I wonder what's keeping her?
'Were you guys waiting for us?' I asked, seeing as most people who were here were just waiting for their friends.
'Actually, we're waiting for Yuki.' ouch. That hurt. 'But in a way we were.' that didn't lessen the blow.
'Can we go?' zero asked monotonously, turning my attention away. I nodded and started walking to the door when I froze and turned around, completely forgetting something.
'You girls look gorgeous.' I say, smiling at them and holding my thumb up. 'Don't you think Zero?'
He turned his head around and gave them a little up and down before nodding his head in agreement. The one time being super, uber, attracted to Zero making me forget to look at other people worked against me. The irony.
