[42] I see dead people- oh wait it's just Niko

I breathed out a shuddered breath, blood pooling out from me, flowing out like a water faucet.

'What the fuck Akara!?' Zero screamed out, holding the gun in front of him still, aiming directly at Shizuka.

'Zero stop, I have to do this.' I breathed out, gasping for breath, the pain unbearable.

'The fuck do you mean!' he yelled, I saw Ichiru dart over to Zero, swiping down on him with a sword that zeroes barely managed to avoid.

'I'm doing this to save you!' I yelled, clutching my stomach to try and lessen the bleeding.

'Akara if you die, I die! I'm not letting you get out that easily!'

'Zero you don't understand, Shizuka can stop you from turning into a level E!' I breathed out, panting from how little energy I had left, the blood loss starting to affect me.

'I don't care what I am as long as I'm with you, don't you get it!' he growled, the sound of clashing metal making me all too aware that he and Ichiru are fighting. My eyes widened a little bit. I thought the one thing zero wanted in the world was to not become a deranged level E, even more than me.

'Although I enjoy this talk I have things to do.' Shizuka said, making her way over to me. 'Let us finish what we started.'

'No!' I grabbed the knife off the floor and slammed it into her, stabbing the right side of her chest, missing her heart. I can't break the curse, I know this, but I can do damage.

She gasped out, looking down at the blade protruding from her, stepping back slowly until she tripped over the coffee table, falling back onto the floor. I neared her, limping slightly and ripped the blade out of her, blood flowing out of her.

'Shizuka!' Ichiru screamed, turning to me. I whipped around quickly and tossed Zero the knife, who used it to clash against Ichiru's blade.

I turned back to Shizuka, towering over her, glaring down with a sickening smile. I grabbed her by her hair, her yelling filling the room and brought her up to my level, her feet dangling in mid-air.

'Payback bitch.' I forced her head to the side and sank my teeth in, half ripping the flesh off her skin as I drank her blood, her violent emotions washing over me, injecting me.

I drank and I drank and I drank until I physically couldn't anymore, my knees buckling from my own wound I had, even the blood of a pureblood unable to heal it instantaneously.

I let her go, her body falling limply to the floor, her heartbeat all but too weak. Not dead, but barely alive. I looked up at the fight Zero and Ichiru were having, my vision completely blurry from the glowing red of my eyes, an urge to kill moving me without my consent.

'Zero-' i gagged out, barely able to keep my mind conscious. I forced myself up, using the coffee table as leverage and trudged my way over, the boys locked in a stalemate.

I turned to ichiru, whose body was closest to me and something overcame me, my arm reached out and grabbed the back of the boy's shirt, throwing him with the force of an oncoming train into the wall. He gasped out and coughed up blood, gagging.

I then turned to zero, who didn't know what to do, stalking over to him, towering over him as he stood there, frozen and eyes wide.

I placed my hands on the side of his head, bending down and kissed him, a small gasp coming from his throat as blood poured down Shizuka's blood.

It was the last sane thing I did. I ripped away from him, my mind switching off and my hunger growing, uncontrollable. Zero swallowed the blood and looked up at me with wild eyes, shaking slightly before passing out, her blood making his body undergo change.
