Chapter 07: A Chain Laced with Death II

Third Person's P.O.V.

"Sigrid! Sigrid!" Deavor Ban lost his calm demeanor after losing his connection to Sigrid.

"Shit! Sigrid, sumagot ka! Lolo, bantayan niyo po ang lahat ng route na pwedeng daanan ni Scott," natataranta na ring sigaw ni Mirko na nakapwesto sa taas ng isang gusali kung saan kitang-kita niya ang kaganapan sa ibaba.

Tutok na tutok ang mga mata ni Deavor sa screen na tila walang balak magpalampas ng kahit isang maliit na pagbabago sa frame. "I'm on it. Ilang minuto na ang nakalilipas ngunit wala pa ring lumalabas sa—"

KSSHHHHH

After losing every angle of the CCTVs in his screen, he rushed his way out of the RV and into the golf course to look for Sigrid.

"Lord Moon is not responding. Look at all the angles, Mirko," pahayag niya habang tinatahak ang daan patungo sa lavatory.

"Good day, sir. What can I do for you?" tanong ng isang waiter na may tulak-tulak na cart matapos ang saglit na paghinto ni Deavor sa tapat nito ngunit hindi na siya napansin ng huli. He continued pushing his cart with a bright smile on his face just like what he's doing everyday.

Malakas ang kutob ni Deavor na may nangyari nang masama kina Sigrid at Nayeon. Anxiety was etched on his face as he roam the place without skipping any detail. Before he could even turn to another alley, he remembered the smile from the guy earlier. The waiter pushing a loaded cart. That guy's suspicious.

Deavor's face suddenly turned pale while tracing back his steps on his mind. The dude's familiar. His smile. His face. He's the one who spilled a cup of coffee on Sigrid's table!

Patakbo siyang bumalik sa RV habang patuloy ang pag-contact kay Mirko. "Mirko, watch the waiter! It's him!"

Mabilis pa sa alas-kwatro ang naging pagsagot ni Mirko dahil nakatutok din siya sa mga pangyayari sa ibaba. "He went to the parking lot, rode into a van and stuffed his cart onto it. Maaabutan niyo pa po ang lalaking 'yon dahil kaaalis lang niya."

"Got it!" Deavor said while reaching for his phone to contact his master who seems out of reach the whole time. It took him about three minutes to reach the RV and just in time to get a response from Mr. Moon.

"Lord Moon, our agent is in danger. Situation X is up and we're on our way," he said while starting the engine of the RV, determined to save the girls before its too late.

"Good. Do not intervene. Your services aren't needed anymore."

Sigrid's P.O.V.

SPLASH!

What the fudge is that?! My eyes flew open after some cold fluid touched my skin. I tried to look around but it seems like the place is filled with darkness. Where am I?

"The Von Scottz' heir is finally up! Good evening, princess." The devil's voice is followed by the sound of lighting a lamp.

My fists automatically clenched upon hearing his voice. That devil. Sakalin ba naman ako ng purple niyang bracelet. Lakas ng trip mo, 'tol! Saan naman kaya napunta ang sosyalin niyang chain kanina at parang mas mahalaga pa ang purple na 'yon para sa kanya.
