The dogs barks are reigning on my ears so my smile was so wide. Wallace asked me if I want to go back here and I immediately agreed because I'll be seeing them again! I miss the dogs! I miss them so much, although galing kami rito last week.
"Good morning ma'am, sir! Buti po't bumalik kayo rito!" The girl who welcomed us before is still the same girl who's in our front right now. I give her a wide smile and waved my right hand.
"Yes, we miss the dogs!" I replied with glee.
We didn't waste more minutes and walked through where the dogs are. My eyes widened to see the new paint of the place and some few new furnitures. But I was even happy to see the increasing number of dogs here, they're so cute!
"Should've bought food for them, and collars." I pouted.
"You know, my first and last remembrance of them." I looked at him and smiled. His face remained serious, but his eyes can't help but to betray him. I just tapped his shoulder before I totally pulled him towards the dogs.
I wonder where's the Afador and the Shih Tzu. It was unavoidable for me to miss them more and to be eager to see them again when I remember how the two almost fought because of jealousy! They're so cute! I think I took a vid of them that time? Nalimutan ko, check ko na lang mamaya sa phone ko.
"Hindi naman siguro na-adopt na ang dalawa no?" I started to feel sad when I can't see them. I hope not. I still want to see them for the last time.
Wallace chuckled and ruffled my hair.
"Don't worry they're just outside, ipapasok yun ngayon. Of course they can't still be adopted, I know you still want to see them." I swallowed hard and tried to replace my little cry into a little smile. Up till now, he still thinks of my happiness, huh?
The world's really unfair. Life really has favorites.
If I could just stay any longer and repay him from everything he has done to make me happy. For making my heart be brimful of happiness and love. To repay him for making me feel again that I have home. I want to repay him with his goodness. I want repay him because that's what he deserves.
I sometimes thought if he is my guardian angel, or something sent for me to read my heart and mind, and distinguish what I want and need, before I will be gone with the wind. Maybe he is. And it's hard to let go of him, of everything. It's hard to go knowing I'll be leaving someone behind who has done such things to made me feel alive again. It's hard to go when I know I'll be leaving him who brought back the urge to live again.
"They're here," My head automatically turned upon what he uttered. My smile widened again when I saw the dogs running towards our place, barking. They missed us too, I am sure of that!
The Shih Tzu jumped towards me, and the Afador into Wallace. They still remembered us! I carried the Shih Tzu in my hands and she can't stop licking me so I giggled.
"You still remember me? I miss you too, baby! I bet you're doing binge eating, huh? You're getting heavier!" I told the dog. She just barked three times and positioned her head in my shoulder. Like a clingy infant.
On the other hand, I turned into Wallace who's currently patting the Afador's head and smiling widely. The Afador was stucking its tongue out with eyes smiling on Wallace. Tumingin din naman siya sa'kin at parehas kaming may mga malalaking ngiti sa labi.
When I remembered something, I got my phone on my pocket and turned into the lady in front of us, who brought the dogs.
"Can you please take a picture of us?" I plead. She wasn't hesitant and happily take my phone.
