Elizabeth
I really thought he was just joking around but he isn't. He even opened the door for me.
I took my phone out and searched for some good places to visit here.
"Are you really coming with me?" I asked again to this man.
"You already agreed." He shot back. He looks like a fine young man, and he has this artistic look. I doubt he isn't popular in his place. He doesn't look like that type of guy who randomly comes with a stranger.
"You're not familiar in this place?" I got confused how did he know about it. Not until I realized something. My eyes went down to my phone as its screens reveals my search.
I pouted trying to prevent the release of a sheepish smile.
"Yeah."
I was surprised when he ruffled my hair together with his chuckle. It's a first time a stranger did that to me!
"Really, dude? Really?" Saying with an amused look.
"You're adorable."
Inilingan ko na lang siya't tinalikuran. This man, acting so comfortable even if we're not really close.
"It's too unusual to see a girl in a place where she has no knowledge about." He commented. I don't know if I'll be feeling insulted or what because of his tone.
"Bakit ka nga pala andito? Exploring?" I turned off my phone to see my hair's condition in my reflection in the screen. Ginulo niya nga pala to. I probably looked horrible now. After fixing it, I looked at him and gave him a small smile.
"To live."
Minutes passed when I heard a familiar sound. I stopped in the middle of the walk and he did too.
"Why?" He's confused.
The loud bang of drums, lyre sticks hitting lyre tiles creating high pitch harmonic sound, trumpets being blown and some instruments became audible in my ears.
"May fiesta ba?" I curiously asked at him.
"Religious celebration? No. Ah kaya ka pala huminto dahil sa tunog ng mga instruments ngayon?" I immediately nod at him. He chuckled at me and my brows can't help but to meet.
Why is he always laughing at me? Do I look like a clown?
"Parade yan. The place is celebrating its day. And that day is today. But that parade, kung isagawa nila ay parang fiesta." He explained. Lumiwanag ang ekpresyon ko sa sinabi niya.
"So you mean there are dancers wearing such weird but entertaining attires? Do they hold some large pineapples or whatever fruit is it made of cardboards? Do they have face paints?" I excitedly asked.
"Yes." I giggled with his answer.
Dancing with such parade or festival dancers are one of my 'must' in my to-do list. I know it sounds weird but I want to do it. I want to sway along together with such. I don't mind if I'll look crazily stupid.
My priority is my happiness before I'll bid goodbye.
I may be sapped by life with its various way to sap me, but I still do believe there's still a lot of wonderful things here on earth. I know I'm unlucky enough because I don't have enough time to explore, discover and try more 'must try' things.
