"Its dangerous with all the snow you dot have to go" kie says to tanjiro "I want everyone to yeet their fill on new year's so I'm going to tell as much charcoal as I can" tanjiro says as kie cleans his face of ash
Wait why am I getting a Déjà vu feeling wait no no no its today they day they die and nezuko gets turned
"Brother Im comeing with you" hanako says and kie replies "no you wont you cant walk fast like tanjiro" "but mom" hanako strays to say but kie cut her of by saying "you will stay here it's far to dangerous for you"
Hanako pouts and says "that's exactly why I should go to make sure brother is safe" with a huff
I see my opportunity to cut in "well if it makes you feel better I'll go with him" I say with a smile and they all look at me and kie says "YN tanjiro cant bring the cart so he wont be able to give you a ride once you get tired"
"I never needed the cart before and pluse we can sell mor charcoal this way then get home faster" I interject and kie sighs in defeat "fine just be careful ok YN I dont need anything happening to one of my daughters" lie states and I hug her knowing this is going to be the last time I see her alive
"Well I guess we'll be heading off now good bye everyone" tonjiro announces and I pull away from kie and say "goodbye mom i love you" with a bright smile trying to keep my tears back
She Pat's my head then me and tanjiro sets off to town
[La time skip to once you make it to town]
"Oh tanjiro I can believe you came down the mountain in this weather your such a hard worker you might catcha cold" an old lady says with a kind smile "no need to worry about me do you have enough charchole" tanjiro asks
"Oh hay tanjiro I need some charchole thanks for fixing my brothers door the other day" a middle aged man says "tanjiro I need some charchole to" another person says
Wow tanjiro sure is popular "oh tanjiro who is this lovely young lady" the old women from earlier asks and tanjiro replies "oh this is YN"
"Hello YN how long have you tanjiro been a couple" the old lady asks witch causes tanjiro and I to turn red "n..no we arnt a couple where just friends" I say and tanjiro nods furiously saying "y..yeah just friends"
"If you say so" the old lady says with a smirk and tanjiro go's back to selling charchole
After tanjiro was done we where walking back home on the trail we took to get to town "it's getting late" tanjiro says I nod and replie "yep but at least we sold out" with a smile hiding the sadness building in my heart thinking of the pain everyone will go through tonight
"Tanjiro" I voice says and we turn to it to see an old man
[Time skip to after the old man dragged you and tanjiro inside his house for the night]
"Thank you for the food" tanjiro says and puts down his chop sticks "hay grandad subro what are demons like" tanjito asks and I look at him then back to subro
"Man-eating demons have always wandered the land at dark that is why you must never be out at night now if you 2 are done eating go to sleep you can set off at first light" subro says and lays out to extra futons for me and tanjiro
I nod and lay in one of the futons and and close my eyes going to sleep because I already know about the conversation tanjiro and Subro has
"Be careful now" subro tells us as we set off and I can already feel the pit in my gut grow knowing what's awaiting us back home
