Chapter seventeen

"Things seem to run a lot more smoothly now that ___ is here to organize your mess," Gaara said with a small chuckle.

"I'll say," Shikamaru said. "Looks like we will actually be able to be home before the sun goes down."

You chuckled as you quickly sorted through the last stack of papers. "You're a lifesaver!" Naruto exclaimed.

"So, ____, when will you start working here?" Shikamaru asked.

You shrugged. "You should be asking Lord Seventh that."

"Aw, I dont think you should start working yet. It's too soon!" HE exclaimed. "But we kind of need you around here," He mumbled.

"Tomorrow it is!" You exclaimed.

"What should we do now?" Gaara asked while you guys walked out of the building.

"Let's go food shopping!" You exclaimed. "I want to cook."

"I have missed your cooking," Gaara said.

"So have I!"

"We had breakfast this morning."

"But that was nothing! You gotta make ramen!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Raaammmeennn," You both said before laughing.

"Do you remember our ramen song?" You asked.

"Oh, yea!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Oh no," Shikamaru mumbled.

"When I say I love, you say ramen!" You exclaimed. "I love-"

"RAMEN"

"I love-"

"RAMENNN"

You both erupted into fits of laughter, and Naruto continued the song. "When I say yummy, you say ramen. Yummy-"

"RAMEN"

"Yummy-"

"RAMEN"

"SHIO, SHOYU, MISO, OR TONKOTSU! ANY KIND, WE DONT CARE!" You and Naruto simultaneously exclaimed.

"I love ramen!" Naruto exclaimed, "And I love ramen!" You replied.

"WE L-L-L-L-LOVE RAMEEENNNNNN" You both exclaimed, then erupted into loud laughter.

"That takes me back," Shikamaru said.

"Yea," Gaara said. "I've only heard them sing it once, but it's haunted my nightmares ever since."

Shikamaru chuckled.

"Hey!" You and Naruto yelled simultaneously.

"Our song is great!" You exclaimed while poking Gaara. "You said you liked it!"

"I said it was cute. I never said I liked it."

"How rude," You said with a pout.

"Man, that was amazing!" Naruto exclaimed while patting his round belly. "You definitely have a gift."

I chuckled. "Cooking isn't a gift. It's just a life skill."

"After all this time, your food still tastes the same," Gaara said.

"Thanks, guys."

Suddenly, I heard the door open, and footsteps.

"Hey, Teme!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Hi," He said before looking at me. "I've been... reflecting."

"And?"

"Can we talk... alone?"

I nodded.

"I'll go shower," Gaara said before walking upstairs.

"Yea, I should uh... go into ___'s room and look through her stuff," Naruto said before running up the steps.

"Wai- okay then," I said with a sigh.

Sasuke chuckled. "It's nice to see that Dobe being his old self again." Sasuke sat at the table next to me and sighed.

"I've been reflecting," He repeated. "And I came to a conclusion, so I went to talk to Sakura."

"Oh," I mumbled.

Sasuke held out his hand. "I want you to see for yourself, and then I want to say something."

"Okay," I said in slight confusion before activating my kurome and grabbing his hands.

(It's just what happened in the last chapter :P)

"Oh," I said.

"I love you, ____ Konton. You are my soulmate, and you mean everything to me. After everything I've done, you still forgave me and you were still by my side. I never actually thought about how you felt through everything. Somehow, I always ended up putting you second. I've wanted to marry you since we were in the academy, but after I-" He paused. "Ya know or after my journey or something. I swear, from this day forward, if you decide to forgive me, you will be my first choice. What I did was wrong. I shouldn't have used Sakura the way I did, and I shouldn't have hurt you."

"Awwww!" Naruto exclaimed outside of the kitchen.

"Naruto, be quiet," Gaara said.

"But that was so cute! I've never seen Teme so sincere!"

Gaara sighed.

"Wait, where are you going Gaara?" Naruto said.

Sasuke and I chuckled.

"So, what do you say?" Sasuke asked.

"Yea, what do you say?!" Naruto exclaimed.

"Uhm... I say-"
