This is a two-part story, but the second part is where the angst starts. For those of you who don't prefer it, I suggest you just read this one since it works fine by itself!

Love is one abstract idea. It can't be explained scientifically, nor can it be defined properly. All we know is that great love is rarely ever forgotten, especially the people that we cherish and hold dear.

That's what it was like for them, for Bokuto and Akaashi. They fit together nicely, like their souls were meant to be entangled with each other. The two boys loved one another wholly, all strings attached. They loved one another openly, an endless waterfall of affection and adoration.

Stepping onto the train, Bokuto leads Akaashi through. It was quite cramped today, making the ace's grip on the setter's hand tighten a bit. Keiji notices what his lover does, which causes him to display a soft smile as they hold onto the railings so as to stay in place.

They finally arrived at school, with around 20 minutes to spare. Bokuto was feeling thirsty, so he walks over to the vending machine with Akaashi in tow.
"Akaashi, do you want something?" The captain asks, choosing his own drink.
"Ah, no thank you, Bokuto-san." The setter replies, not wanting to spend the other's money.

Soon after, the bell rang which signalled the start of classes. The taller male gave a quick peck onto the other's forehead before walking away backwards, smiling and waving. Akaashi blushed at the sudden action, before waving back at Bokuto and walking the other direction, on his way to his own class.

The school day is over, tomorrow's a weekend, and Koutarou can't wait to hangout with Keiji at his place. They agreed on having a sleepover, watching movies, eating snacks, stargazing too. He waits for the setter at the front of their school's gate. Rocking back and forth on his feet, Bokuto keeps scanning the area for any sign of his lover.

Finally spotting that black, fluffy hair, the ace runs towards Akaashi, who managed to catch him in time.
"Ooft-"
"AGHAASHI!!!" Bokuto practically screams as he wraps his arms around the shorter male's frame.
"Hello Bokuto-san." Keiji greets back before wrapping his arms around the other too.

Bokuto released Akaashi from his bone-crushing hug and held the other's hand instead.
"I'm so excited! I get to sleepover at your place tonight!!" The captain exclaims, looking like a very excited child.
'Cute.' The setter thought, smiling at his boyfriend.
"I'm excited too." Akaashi says.
"You don't sound too excited." Bokuto comments, turning to pout at the other. Keiji couldn't help but chuckle at the sight.
"Don't worry, Bokuto-san, I'm as excited as you too."

The pair made it to Akaashi's home. Before entering, both boys removed their shoes and placed them on the shoerack just beside the door. Keiji's parents aren't home, since they are on a business trip, which is why the pair decided to hold their little sleepover in the setter's home in the first place.

They made their way to Akaashi's bedroom to change out of their uniforms. After that, they went back down to start their first activity of the night: movie and snacks!

Akaashi was in charge of getting the snacks while Bokuto skimmed through some movies, looking for a good one. The shorter male soon joined the other on the couch to help with choosing a movie. After they've chosen one, Keiji brought out a blanket to cover themselves with as he scoots closer to Koutarou for extra warmth.

The pair was ultra-focused on the story, seeing as how it was a sci-fi film. Chips here, sweets there, even some hot cocoa to wash it all down.
"This is one of the best movies ever." Bokuto breathes out, unable to look away from the action scene that was playing on screen. Akaashi could only nod, seeing as how he, too, was amazed by whatever's happening.

After 2 and a half hours, the movie finally ended. Both were feeling quite tired from watching, since they rarely tried to blink, not wanting to miss a moment of the film.
"Wow, that was amazing!!" The captain exclaims, looking down at Keiji who had his head rested on the ace's broad shoulder. Their hands were intertwined underneath the soft blanket.

Akaashi replied with a yawn, before commenting,
"The story was very deep, it was exhilarating."
The setter looks up to face his lover, only to get his eyes locked up in the gaze Koutarou was sending his way. Bokuto can't help but get entranced by the other's eyes, the hue a perfect mix between mossy green and deep sea blue.

Hearing a small giggle, the captain snapped out of the apparent trance he was in, causing his cheeks to warm right up.
"Heyyy, Aghaashiii, what are you giggling forr?" Bokuto asks, feeling embarrassed.
"I'm sorry, you looked so cute Bokuto-san." Keiji explains, causing Bokuto to blush even harder at the compliment.

Standing up from the couch, Akaashi gazed towards the clock hanging on the wall. "11:35", it read. The setter turns around to look at Bokuto, who looked really adorable wrapped up in the blanket, in his opinion. Keiji extended an arm, implying Koutarou to take it, to which the other male did.

"Where are we going?" The ace asks, wrapping the blanket around his shoulders.
"We're going stargazing." The setter replies, smiling at the taller male.
They went outside to Akaashi's wide, grassy backyard. Keiji laid out the blanket that Koutarou had brought along, whining a bit when he missed the warm comfort the fabric had.

Retrieving another fluffy blanket, Keiji sees Bokuto already laid out on the blanket. Walking over, he casually lays down beside him, laying his head on his lover's arm as the setter pulls the blanket over them. They both stared up into the night sky, twinkling lights capturing their visions.
Accompanied with the occasional cricket chirps, the setting they were in was one of complete tranquility.

They talked. They talked about a lot of things. They talked about big things and small things. They talked about all sorts of things. They were giggling about something, until their laughter was soon carried away by the wind too, like their words, as they settled into a comfortable silence.

Bokuto likes this. He really enjoys this. Just him, laying beside his world, gazing up at the heavens above and talking about whatever came into their mind. He didn't want to leave this kind of euphoria.

"Keiji?" Bokuto calls out.
"Koutarou?" Akaashi replies.
They rarely ever call each other by their first names, so hearing this, it gave them both a fuzzy feeling in their stomachs and a warm heat to their faces.

"I'm just curious, what would you do if one of us loses our memory?" Bokuto asks, staring up into the night sky.
Akaashi thought for a moment, letting out a small hum.
"If you ever lost your memory, Kou, I'd do anything to help you again. And if I were the one to lose my memories, I'll try my best to remember you."

Keiji turned on his side to face Koutarou, to which the other did the same.
"O-oh, I see." Bokuto replies, getting lost into Akaashi's atlantic eyes once again.
"What made you think of that?" The setter asks, placing his palm onto the captain's face.
"Ah, it's nothing 'Ji, I was just curious..." Koutarou replies, smiling.
They laid there for what felt like an eternity, just staring into each other's eyes.
"Goodnight Kou."
"Goodnight 'Ji."
They slept peacefully that night.

The pair spent their entire weekend with each other, going out on a little date or two. Bokuto almost fainted at the sight of a puppy when they were walking at the park, to which Akaashi uses to tease the taller male with now.

But of course, they had to go back to school once again. So, with one final kiss (for now) the pair go their separate ways. They'll meet again the next day though. Koutarou would definitely note this as one of the best weekends he's ever had, and the mere fact he got to spend most of it with no one other than his lover, Akaashi.
