Nekoma's setter and captain, Kenma Kozume and Kuroo Tetsurou. Some say they're a formidable pair, others say they're like two parts of a whole. Either way, you're bound to always see them together.

Kenma, despite being the anti-social boy he was, felt comfortable around Kuroo. Being childhood friends was a factor to this friendship, but the setter has learned to trust the captain over time anyways.

Even if it's out at lunch or just hanging at home, they're always together. Kozume had never really thought about it since he enjoyed Tetsurou's company. Playing games together, playing matches together, it's like Kuroo had ingrained himself into the pudding head's life, not that he minded it.

Another day, another afternoon filled with practice. The sounds of shoes squeaking against the floor as balls slam down. Just your average scene at Nekoma's court.

They decided to hold a quick practice game between each other, so they separated into two teams of six. Obviously, Kuroo and Kenma were on the same side.

Just before they could start, the sound of doors opening caught the players' attentions. Two figures were seen walking into the court.
"Well, if it isn't the girls." Yaku had commented upon seeing who entered the court.

Alisa, Lev's older sister, and Akane, Taketora's younger sister.
"Hello everyone!" Alisa greeted as Akane waved. The other players greeted them in return.
Kenma, who realized Kuroo is more quiet than usual, turned around to look at him.
He saw how the captain's eyes held a look of wonderment as he stood there dumbfounded. Kenma traced his sight towards none other than Alisa Haiba.

Who wouldn't stare at her? Her long, flowy, gray hair and her big, emerald eyes. She looks like a model.
But why did Tetsurou's expression hurt the setter?

Walking home together, as they always do, Kenma and Kuroo snack on a few treats they've bought from the convenience store they've just passed by. Comfortable silence envelopes them, like it always does. Except this time, it was interrupted by a question.

"Kuroo, why were you staring at Alisa while ago?"
Kenma had asked, not bothering to look up at the other. The question made Kuroo stop in his tracks, which caused the other to stop as well.
"Oh, you've noticed that?" Tetsurou asks too, scratching the back of his head.

"Yeah, you went really quiet awhile ago." The pudding head replies, averting his gaze slightly.
"She looked...pretty." Kuroo says as he continues walking again while Kenma catches up.

The setter couldn't shake off a weird feeling he felt. Why did his chest hurt after seeing the rooster head's expression that afternoon? Why did his eyes sting? Questions ran around in his head as he tried to sleep. Knowing that he will most likely not be able to rest soon, he brought out his handheld game console and played for the entire night.

Kenma managed to doze off some point in the night, but he woke up to a sharp pain in his eyes. Freaking out, he rushed towards his bathroom and looks straight into the mirror. He watches as little stars fall out, like tears. The pain isn't too much, it felt like a little poke. But the stars that fell from his eyes emit a twinkling sound and its colours were iridescent.

He wiped them away carefully until they stopped. Kozume heaved a small sigh, still shaken up by what had happened. Is this why he was feeling weird yesterday?
Turning on his phone, he quickly searched up the strange phenomenon. He had found an article of it, "Star Tears" it says.

The article read: "It's a disease caused by unrequited love. The stars make a twinkling sound and they hold different colours. The more the patient cries, the more he/she is likely to develop colour blindness since the stars carry away the colours from the eyes. In rare cases, the tears may cause memory loss and even total blindness. The only cure for this is for the person they love to love them back."
