Heart or Logic

Looking around the house with his hood up he dreaded the moment he would have to utter those words. He figured Logan wouldn't try anything, he would be super curious in fact, but he didn't think of all the Sides he wouldn't have to worry about Logic. Correct? No Virgil couldn't think like that. Thomas would be at his side the whole time. Nothing would come out of this. In fact, the one side he would have to worry about the most was if Roman found out...but that's a worry for another day.

"You need me to call for him?"

Virgil quickly whipped his head to face the human he forgot was still behind him. He knew Thomas was not going to let this go until Virgil said something. At this point, he felt like he was being forced, but knew this was the push he needed. The little voice in the back of his mind keeps telling him over and over this was good. That he needed to tell someone besides Thomas and with how close Logan was already to figuring everything out why not start there?

"No, I don't want this to be made into a whole event. I may want to go talk to him in the mindscape."

"But..."

"Yeah, I know. I'll be telling him alone, but maybe that's best. You know Logan he would think we're making it into a whole big spectacle or be suspicious about you just calling him here randomly."

"But won't it be suspicious if you go to his room and talk too?"

"Yeah, I know." even though the right words were coming out he could feel the sweat forming on his hands. Looking down he just now noticed his hands had been playing with the bottom of his sweatshirt once more, an obvious sign of his saying he was anxious. No matter how many times he told his hands to stop, they would keep moving around until another hand grabbed his arm.

"It'll be fine. You're making this into something bigger than it really is."

Virgil took a deep breath in to control himself so he didn't shift right in front of Thomas before the talk even started. "Trust me I know."

Taking a few breaths in he stood outside of Logan's door starting at it like at any second it could come alive and grab him forcing his body into the unknown. In all honesty, he didn't know how the Logical side didn't even know he was standing outside, slowly moving from one foot to the other, relieving the slight pressure on his feet as he contemplated on walking in or not. Right now the blue door with worn papers all over it was the most intimidating thing in his mind.

Peering over he could see light streaming from the inside indicating Logan was inside probably working on some type of research since Thomas was probably distracting his thoughts with mindless tv, likely waiting on the results of Virgil's brave adventure.

"Alright, you can do this. Just go in there and do it." Speaking to himself always felt stupid, but at this moment, it was needed. "Logan I'm a mouse...nononono that won't work...How about Logan you know that mysterious mouse from the mindscape? Well, that's me! No, I can't do that either...Why can't I just do this?!"

"Are you just going to stand there all day? Or are you going to ask to come in?"

Virgil jumped out of his skin hearing the voice resonate out of the room in this matter-of-fact tone. He had to be irritated. Should he come back later? No. He had to do this. "Um, Logan you mind-"

"Just come in already."

As Virgil moved the door the creak exploded in his mind. Why did everything have to seem so noticeable, but looking over at Logan he seemed to not even flinch. He was hovering over a book on his desk taking notes.
