Aisha's POV:
I walked to the gang at lunch. They were all hanging and laughing with Amaira. What? I shook my head and sat down between Darshan and Hardil, high-fiving Hardil. "Itna late?" He asked, worriedly. "Dance practice kar rahi thi. Thoda late hogaya," I clarified. He grinned. "Scripting ho gaya? Hosting ka??" I asked the other 3 boys. "Uh, haan. Just check the grammar. Thoda bonkers ho sakta hai," Siddharth replied. I laughed and nodded. He handed me the file. "Main kar doon?" Amaira piped up. "Behen. Tere grammar ke marks dekhe hain? 3. Out of 20. Hum kar lenge," Alisha answered. Niu chuckled. "Don't be mean yaar," she whined. "Accept the truth," Darshan said, slowly laying his head on my shoulder. I ruffled his hair. "Ishu..." he whined. I giggled. "Ishu? What?" Amaira asked. "Yeah. Ishu. My nickname for Aisha. I couldn't pronounce Aisha as a kid and called her Ishu. It just stuck," he explained, wrapping his arm around my neck. I bit my lip trying to hold back a smile. He looked at me and smiled. "Do the others call her that too?" Amaira asked. They shook their heads violently. "We will get beaten up," Tara laughed and I stuck up peace signs. She frowned. "What? It is a patented nickname. Owned by Darshan," I smiled. Darshan kissed my temple and I pursed my lips. "So, you two have nicknames for each other. You two hang out all the time. Are you dating or something?" She asked. We nodded. Her expression changed. She was mad. I knew she was. "Aisha, tum dono ka first official date ho gaya?" Niu asked. "It is this weekend," Darshan answered. Amaira got up and walked off. "What's with her?" Hardil asked. "She likes Darshan and doesn't want me to date him. Simple?" I spoke. "Wait, how do you know?" Darshan asked, appalled at the fact that Amaira likes him. "Okay. She was shocked when you hugged me. She is always hanging around you. The other day, she called you Gabbu and got angry when I told her not to. She doesn't like that we have nicknames for each other and that we're always hanging out. Now, do you understand, doof?" I rambled. He nodded. "Wait, if we call you a doof, you get all mad. But if she calls you a doof it's love," Jyugal asked, dramatically. I laughed and Darshan blushed. I laid my head on Darshan's shoulder and we continued talking.
Later... After school...
"How dare you?" Amaira asked as she pushed me to the wall. "How dare I what?" I demanded. "Date Darshan. He's mine," she spoke through gritted teeth. "You don't own him. And you don't even know him. He's my boyfriend, my best friend. And you are not stealing him away. It's you vs me. I know who's gonna win," I spoke, coolly. "Aww. I'm your boyfriend," Darshan laughed as he wrapped his arm around my waist. I kissed his nose. "And yeah. Stay away from her," Darshan threatened. "Or what? You'll hit me?" Amaira smirked. "No, but she will," Darshan smirked back. Amaira looked at me and laughed, "She?"
I laughed maniacally and slapped her. Super hard. "Told ya," Darshan said and I helped her up. She stalked off, flipping her hair. "You're badass," he adored. I giggled.
