Aisha's POV:

I walked to the auditorium with my clipboard, excited to announce the new members. I went up on stage as they called my name. "Hey, Guys! I am Aisha, the president of the Dance Society. I am up here today to announce the new members. The 17 girls and 5 boys who had come there to waste our time, you were DISQUALIFIED. Well, one of them was expelled. Whatever. So, do I announce guys first or the girls?" I spoke and everyone started yelling. "Okay, okay. Guys first. Because more girls wasted our time than guys. Respect," I laughed, signalling respect. The guys smiled. "So, come up on stage when I call you. Aarav Paul, Jyugal Soni and Riaan Shaw. Come up, guys!! You nailed that audition! Congratulations!!" I cheered and they came up on stage. "Jyugal was gonna be chosen anyway. They're friends," someone mumbled. "I HEARD THAT. I wasn't involved in the selections. You were disqualified and I was involved in that. I know you hate me, but BACK OFF!!" I said, loudly. "The girls include... Amaira Khatri, Dhriti Dalal and Samira Bedi. Come up here!! You nailed that audition," I grinned. "Thank you to everyone who did not waste our time and actually auditioned. I have tons of respect for you and you can make it when we audition next time. Thank you!!" I cheered and walked down the stairs and out the door.

"Thank you so much, Aisha," all the new members said, except Jyugal. "You're most welcome, but thank Miss Anderson. Our new dance teacher. Aur tu? Jyugal? Kuch nahi? Tu badme miliyo," I smiled at the others and playfully threatened Jyugal. "Haan, haan, bohot darta hoon mein tere se, saali," Jyugal laughed, sarcastically. I laughed and ruffled his hair and he glared at me. Jyugal's eyes widened and he yelled, "Aisha, duck. Incoming!!" I ducked and rolled to the other side. "Jyugal... yaar, achha plan banaya tha. You foiled it!!" Darshan whined. "Hey, foil. Wanna help me up?" I asked, reaching my hand out. He pulled me up, I mouthed a 'thanks' to Jyugal. "Tu kyun mere pe phudakne ka plan bana raha tha? You could've broken your leg," I asked, giving him a look that said 'What the HELL is wrong with you?'. "Oooh main bhool gaya. Tere reflexes kuch zyada hi fast hai. You broke my finger once," he reminisced and I giggled. "I came because everyone is leaving ghar jaane ke liye. Chalein?" He looked at us and then whispered in my ear, "Why are the girls staring at me?" I looked at the girls and burst out laughing. "Girls, this is Darshan Raval, my best friend, since... well, birth," I introduced, hugging him from the back and he waved. Their mouths remained open. "Mosquito!"I said and they shut their mouths. "No, he is just really cute," Amaira muttered."We heard that!" Darshan and I snapped. They grimaced. We laughed. "Ishu, chal na. Bhook lagi hai!" Darshan complained. "My whiny bachha. Chal, ghar chal. Jyugal?" I laughed, cupped his right cheek, kissed his left cheek and we went to our class. "Amaira. You wanna say something?" Jyugal asked after he hugged Niu and kissed her forehead. "No, I just did not know you guys are such close friends. I wanted to be kinda friends with you guys," she shrugged. "You can still be friends. What is wrong in that?" Darshan asked and all of us shook hands and left to go home. I was really quiet the whole walk. "Kya hua, Ishu?" Darshan whispered. "Heebie-jeebies. Sorta confused," I answered. "About what?" He wondered. "I will tell you later," I said. He nodded.

We reached homes and changed up. We sat down at our hangout after homework and I drifted off into sleep, thinking about Amaira. Something about her was just weird. Maybe I was being paranoid. I don't know. "Ishu, wake up," Darshan called while the others chuckled. I opened my eyes slowly, smiled at him, laid in his lap and fell asleep again. He pulled me up and shook me. "Uth ja. Khana ni khana?" He asked, shaking me again. "Haan, khana hai," I said, rubbing my eyes. He kissed my forehead and hugged me from the back. I laid my head on his chest. "What were you guys talking about on our way back?" Hardil asked. "Oh. I had the heebie-jeebies. There is something about that Amaira that I can't shake. Maybe I am being paranoid. But, I can't shake it. She is hinky," I explained, completely awake now. "Chill. We'll be fine," Tara waved off. I nodded. The others left to make food and Darshan and I stayed upstairs on their request (more like demand). He kissed my forehead, slowly. I looked at him. "Really, now? I am tired. No kissing me, for one day. Please. Love you," I said. He pouted and I bit my lip. I laid down on his chest and dozed. He laughed.

I was right. I knew it. The gang thought I was being paranoid, but I wasn't... Amaira is hinky.
