Aisha's POV:

I sat down in my living room with Jyugal. His parents were out of town. He was staying over because Niu's parents didn't know about them and he couldn't stay with her. We spent 5 hours extra at school finishing up all the talent show BS. It was so tiring and we wanted to gouge our eyes out by the end of it. We were organising the talent show for grades 6-12 and that was annoying. "Yaar, half yearlies are in 10 days and I am not prepared," Jyugal whined. "Bhai, chal, I'll help you," I said as I pulled my books out. He hugged me and I started helping him out with all his doubts. "Ishuuuuu," Darshan called as he entered my house. "Haye rabba, ki hoia?" I asked. Darshan raised his eyebrow. "Abe, what happened? Punjabi mein poocha re."

"Help me. I will fail in Math. Mein kya karun?" He rambled. "Shhh. Shant. You won't fail. Breathe. Kya hua? Sit down," I ordered, calmly, signing him to breathe. "Kaise shant rahun? Exam aa rahi hai," Darshan whined. "Shh. You have studied this. We did all the examples and problems together. At least 3 times. I will help you, but stay calm. Worrying is not going to make anything better. Okay?" I said as I put my finger on his lips. He nodded. "Asher, tu itni shant kaise hai yaar? Tujhe sach mein tension nahi hota?" Jyugal asked. "Nahi. Because I know I have worked hard. And, worrying will ruin my life. It is not good. Shant dimag rakhna chahiye. At least before exams. Warna dimag mein saare padhai ka raitha ban jayega aur dhajiya ud jayegi," I explained. "Right," Jyugal nodded. We started finishing up their Math and the other boys joined us halfway through. "Niu, Tara aur Alisha ko bhi utha ke laana chahiye tha? What ya?" Jyugal said. "They are freaking out and saying that they will study alone," Siddharth said. I nodded. We finished up all their doubts and I sat down with my head in Darshan's lap and my legs in Hardil's. "Aisha, you're really weird," Jyugal said. "What are you talking about?" I asked. "You don't worry about exams, hug guys without giving a care to the world, you love basketball, tu different hai," he explained. I grinned. My phone rang and I groaned. "Answer it, Gabbu," I whined. He picked it up and spoke for a few minutes. "Teri masi aa rahi hai parso for two weeks," he said. "Fuuuuck. Kill me!!! I hate my life," I groaned.

"Which masi is this?" Darshan questioned. "There is only one masi. My mom hates her. She is mom's older half-sister. Nani got remarried after her first husband passed. Masi was born before that. She is so conservative. Don't talk to boys, were patiala-kurta, blah. I hate her," I rambled. "Then we can't meet? Exams mein hum fail ho jayenge. Tera help is very important," Hardil asked. "You can come. See, I don't give a fuck about that lady. So, we will be as usual," I winked. They hugged me and kissed my cheek.

Two Days Later...

The bell rang as we were studying II Language. I and the girls were in German and the boys in Hindi. "Asher. Samjha de. Ye translations nahi ho rahe," Tara whined. I looked at her book and started explaining as Mom opened the door. "Didi!" She fake-smiled. I snorted. Tara smacked my head. Niu smiled. "Asher, yaar these are half the paper. Help me!!" Alisha whined pointing at the translations too. "Okay, okay. Breathe," I said, signing them to calm down. "Aisha, pair nahi chooegi?" Masi taunted. I touched her feet and walked back, ruffling Sid's hair midway. He playfully glared and I grinned. We focused on German as Masi stared at the boys. "Auntie? Kyun ghoor rahe ho? Focus ja raha hai mera," Jyugal asked. I burst out laughing and high-fived him. He laughed. Masi looked away. "Boys, are you staying over or what?" Mom asked. "Hum exams ke first day tak ruk rahe hi. The girls are the best teachers ever," Hardil smiled. Mom grinned and nodded. "Terrace pe soyenge na?" Darshan asked, hopefully. "Aapka hukm sar aakhon par," I smiled. He hugged me and Masi's eyes widened. "Okay guys, bohot ho gaya. I am tired. We have been studying for 4 hours. Break," Niu said. We nodded and ran upstairs to set up our hangout. "Guys, Mission: Roast Masi is on!!" Alisha whispered and we smiled. "And, Aisha, Darshan, be like usual," Niu said. We nodded. We finished setting up and ran downstairs. "Guys, dinner!!" Mom called. We walked to the kitchen and sat down. "Aur Aisha, life kaisi ja rahi hai?" Masi asked. "Achhi hai. Padhai achhi hai, dance achha ja raha hai, sab mast hai," I said. "Boyfriend toh nahi hai na?"

"Hai na. Yeh cute bachha, "I smiled, pointing to Darshan. "KYA?" She yelled. "Okay, woah. Chill. I am 15. I know what I am doing with my life. Mom and Dad agreed. Aapka kabhi boyfriend nahi tha iska matlab yeh nahi ki mera bhi ni hoga. Bakwas mat karo," I replied, sarcastically and everyone whooped. Mom's lips twitched. She was trying not to laugh. "Ira, yeh teri galti hai! Allow kyun kiya?" Masi asked Mom. "Didi, she is 15 and I trust them. They are not brainless fools. They know what they are doing. And, Aisha ke life mein hum kyun ghusein? Her life, her decisions," Mom explained. I stuck up peace signs. "Ladki ko bigaad diya hai," Masi exclaimed. "Haan, bigdi hui kamini hoon main. Mujhe kuch bhi nahi aata. I'm a dumbass. Okay? Now, move on, Masi," I said. "Ishu, chill na," Darshan said as he hugged me. "I love you," I whispered in his ear so no one could hear. I pulled away and we finished eating. We walked upstairs and sat down. "Yaar, kya pagal masi hai yaar teri?" Niu mumbled. I nodded, exasperated. "Okay, Masi-0, Us-2. We need to win this," Siddharth replied. I hugged him and nodded. We pulled out my laptop and played the 'Princess Protection Program'. The boys were sulking but we did not budge. By the end of it, we were having a pillow fight and tickling each other. Masi came upstairs as I had Darshan pinned to the floor, straddling his legs, laughing. Niu was laying on Jyugal with her head on his shoulder. "What are you doing?" Masi shrieked. We wheezed and started laughing again. "God, pet dard," Tara whined. We nodded. I laid beside Darshan he pulled me into him. I closed my eyes and Masi made some stupid noise and stomped off.

I wasn't gonna let Masi go this time... She's gonna pay for all that she's ever said to me.
