"I'll meet you guys in the dorm, I forgot my potions book in the library this morning." I tell my friends and they nod, turning away towards the dungeons. I strolled over to the library passing some friends along the way. Once I made it to the front I ran into Madam Pince who was closing the doors. "Madam Pince, I had forgotten my potions book in there this morning, may I retrieve it?" I ask and she abruptly turns with a worried expression. "Oh no, not now dear, have you not heard?" she says grabbing my shoulders. I nod my head no. "Oh dear, you must go to the great hall right away! Sirius Black has been spotted in the castle, I'll escort you."

We walk to the great hall, every chilling breeze, every spoken word audible sending chills down my spine. Once we finally make it I sigh in relief. The hall was no longer filled with tables and benches, but sleeping bags filled with students. The room felt cold and not just because of the temperature. My eyes travel across the room, searching for my friends. I spotted Millie and the others, but sadly there were no open spots. So, I look in the direction of my friends from Gryffindor, but to my disappointment, there were no open spots.

I look around one last time until I feel a hand rest on my shoulder. I look up to see Professor Dumbledore. "Pure my dear, why don't you take the spot next to Miss Lovegood over there in the corner." I nod whilst making my way over to the little curly blond witch reading a large blue book. I sit down on the cold floor and look at her. "Hi, I'm Purity." I grin and she looks up from her reading and smiles. "I'm Luna, nice to meet you Purity." Her voice was dreamy and gentle. "Nice to meet you too Luna, what are you reading, might I ask?" I slip into my sleeping bag. "The blibbering humdinger! My dad once told me he spotted one." She says overly enthusiastic.

I had never heard of anything such before, but I wasn't going to say anything to correct her. She was too excited about it and I didn't want to burst her bubble. Though, she seemed pretty content with herself, which is what I would very much like to be for myself. I hear people calling her "Loony Lovegood" sometimes, which I don't appreciate. You never know someone until you actually talk to them, and from what I could tell, Luna was quite pleasant. "They sound very fascinating Luna." I smile and she nods, continuing with her reading.

"That's a load of rubbish." I hear a scoff from the other side of me. I turn my head slowly to see Malfoy slipping into the sleeping bag directly next to me. great. "What are you doing here Malfoy? Here to make me mad huh?" I scowl at him, disgusted by that sinister smirk he plays on his lips as he lays on his back. "Calm down Mikaelson, Snape said I had to sleep here." he lays his head on top of his hands as he gazes at the starry ceiling. "Sure, keep telling yourself that." I roll my eyes.

I lay down, facing the opposite direction as I do not want to interact with that foul git any longer. I close my eyes hoping that I would eventually just drift off to sleep when I hear shuffling from behind me. I try not to focus on it, but he just continues to squirm and move around. "Will you just sit still? Some of us are trying to sleep and it's quite hard when you are constantly moving!" I huff. "Yeah well it's not my fault that I have to sleep on a stone-cold floor." he groaned.

"Just shut up, okay?" I sigh. "Maybe if you shut up then I would be able to concentrate on sleeping peacefully." "Well maybe if you weren't such an ignorant twat all of the time I wouldn't have to defend myself." "Defend yourself? You're the annoying stupid brat that won't shut up!" "Excuse me you did NOT-"

"Would you two please argue elsewhere? I must focus on the blibbering humdingers and it is quite hard with your constant blabbering." Luna politely smiled and I blushed embarrassed that even Luna Lovegood was annoyed by us. "Yes, I'm so sorry Luna I'll shut up now." I apologized. "About time," Malfoy mumbled and I shot him one last agitated glare. "Thank you, I am so sorry for the complaint I just can't keep those silly little blibbering humdingers waiting!" She gently lifted the book back up to her eye level. "Those aren't even rea-" He started, but I smacked him in the arm. We both exchanged angry glances once more before laying down.
