My first defense against the dark arts class of the year was sure, interesting...
The new teacher appointed made it 100% clear he did not whatsoever willingly take the job and only did so because Dumbledore kindly asked him to. I gained a wary feeling from the guy. But oh poor Neville. I mean, everybody knows about what happened to his parents.
The poor couple was tortured to a point where they became even madder than Mad-eye Moody himself. What was running through his minuscule brain to think it would be plausible to use the three unforgivable curses in front of students and not scare the magic out of them?

I sauntered along the long, hushed corridor. The loud, rumbling patter of feet descended in my direction. I turn my head slightly to notice a crowd of students hurrying in the direction of the great hall. In front of the large crowd tramped Blaise Zabini. To his right Dina held his hand lovingly, I smiled at the pair. to his left stood a fellow Slytherin I recognized as Theodore Nott.
Dina noticed my presence and immediately let go of Blaise's hand to give me a warm embrace. "Pure! Come join us. We were just on our way to the great hall to watch people put their names in the goblet." she skipped excitedly. "Alright." I chuckled. My eyes met Blaise's as he pouted slightly. "Dinnaa baby, come back." He whined like a little boy begging for candy, which I found slightly amusing. "Not now Zabini." She snapped. Dina draped her arm around my shoulder and pat my hair.
"Theo here is going to attempt to get one of the older students to put his name in the goblet, quite foolish if you ask me." Dina scorned. "What? It's worth a shot. Imagine all the hot babes I would get if I won." The boy puffed his chest up confidently. Blaise snorted, "Yeah, good luck with that one Nott."
Anordina gazes at me lovingly then pulls me closer.
"Babes, you're so tiny I could just eat you up! Isn't she cute you guys?" Dina stroked my hair. I scoffed playfully, "Dina, I'm not short you're just extremely tall." "No, you're short, I'm average. Right guys?" She turned to the two boys, they nodded while smirking. "Oh shut it, Nott, you're one inch taller than me." I rolled my eyes. "Yes, still taller than you I see." He chuckled. Anordina drags me to the left so she can drape her other arm along Blaise's shoulder.
"Yes, I agree with Nott on this matter. But, me being the very tall, might I add the dashingly handsome guy that I am, I'll let you off the hook Mikaelson." Blaise joshed. "Oh shut it Mr. Resting Bitch Face." I glare at the boy. Both Dina and Theodore snort comically. "Oh be quiet Nott." Zabini huffed while shoving his elbow into his friend's stomach.
"Owch, okay sorry sir." Theodore bantered sarcastically, earning a laugh from me and a glare from Blaise. Dina attempted to contain her laughter by rubbing her hand lovingly on his shoulder. "It's okay my sweet chocolate baby." She cooed. "Okay, my lovely sugar plum." As the two make strange kissing noises towards each other I could almost feel vomit emerging within my throat.
I gagged dramatically and frantically peered over at Theodore, who at the moment was staring at the couple with a slightly traumatized expression. He noticed my pleading stare and immediately walked beside me.
"Get a room you two." I groused. "We have one." "Use it." I smiled sarcastically as they rolled their eyes.
"We'll leave you two lovebirds alone..." Theo holds out his elbow politely. I gladly link my arm with his and we saunter into the crowded room of students, and away from the overly loving couple.
