Red orbs glared through the now completed window signage; the elaborate piece now blocked his view of the florist working. Glaring at the window, he noticed the wavy-haired female working hard on another bouquet. His eyes darted back to the piece he'd been working on then back to Kaylea. The ash-blonde's mind kept going back to that one particular piece he'd seen in her sketchbook after barging in and demanding to see it.
It was vibrant and explosive with colour although it wasn't something he'd normally even consider, it had caught his attention. Clenching his fists tightly in frustration before slamming them down on the desk, letting out a few choice words.
Looking down at the pathetic piece in front of him that he'd been trying to work on for a client coming in that afternoon. He couldn't get his head on straight lately, and the ash-blonde was blaming it on the florist across the street. Ignoring the redhead wheeling himself over as he pulled out another piece of paper to start drawing again.
Kirishima had been watching his friend closely since returning from viewing Kaylea's work. Knowing Bakugou since high school, he could read his inner turmoil easily, although this situation was a first. Wheeling himself over, he quickly looked at the piece he'd been working on only to cringe, "what times your client coming?"
Glaring at the redhead, "five to review."
Rubbing his chin, thoughtfully, "why don't you reschedule?"
Turning back to the rubbish he'd created, "he isn't able to come past any other day or some bullshit."
"Maybe you could clear your mind and sort out whatever bothering you first then work on the piece again," suggesting the only thing he knew would work.
Huffing out angrily, he looked across the street to see the blue eye female moving things around before starting another bouquet. Biting his bottom lip, he debated what he wanted to do, he could simply go over and ask Kaylea for that painting, or he could sit and continue to be angry with his less than impressive work. "I'll be back," letting his friend know he was sorting out his problem.
Giving his fiery friend a toothy grin, "take your time, bro."
Mina excitedly approached the redhead, "I totally ship those two."
chuckling at her comment as he watched his bro step into the flower shop, "yeah if they would just realize it then it be easier on everyone."
Snorting at the comment and patting Kiri's spiky hair, "it would be but their both married to their jobs."
Shaking his head, "they'll work it out soon. I think..."
Shrugging her shoulder, "hopefully or else he's going to rip this place to shreds trying to get his work back up to scratch."
Across the street, Kaylea continued to work on the large order that had come through for an event requiring a large number of bouquets as gifts not knowing a disgruntled ash-blonde was about to step through the door. Focusing on the current arrangement, her focus faltered as the door chime rang out alerting her someone had stepped into the store. Looking up from the bundle on flowers in her hands, she spotted Bakugou.
Smiling brightly as he made his way into the shop with an ever-present scowl, "Hey there, neighbour. what brings you in today?"
"you have your sketchbook here," not beating around the bush.
Nodding her head but still keeping both hands on her work in progress, "let me finish this bouquet first, and I'll get it for you."
Katsuki grumbled as he looked at the lavish bunch of flower that needed a burst of colour to break the soft tones, "it needs contrast. Use that pompom looking one."
Looking to where he was gesturing only to spot magenta pom-pom dahlias, "that's exactly what this needs. can you pass a few up?"
Plucking a few flowers handing them over and watching as the florist made magic happen with her hands. It only took a few moments, and the bunch of flowers had completely transformed with the addition leaving the ash-blonde in awe.
Admiring her handy work before placing it to the side in a bucket, "so Bakugou you wanted to see my sketchbook, right?"
Giving her a curt nod, "yeah."
Rolling her eyes at his response as she stepped into the back room to grab it mumbling to herself, "wonder what he wants with it."
Eyeing off the book clutched close to Kaylea's chest as she walked back into the main part of the store before handing it. Letting out a soft thanks before he quickly flipped through pages until he came across the one that had completely caught his attention. Spinning the book around to face florist and pointing to the abstract work, "I want this page."
Scrunching her, brow, "why?"
Not wanting to explain himself, he swallowed, knowing he needed to at least try, "I'm going to get this tattooed on myself."
Letting the words sink in Kaylea's face drained of colour, "you what?"
"Are you deaf or something? I want this," poking the page aggressively, "tattooed on my skin."
"I just... I don't understand why," stuttering out while staring down at the piece in front of her not understanding what had captured his attention.
Running a hand over his face, "I have never seen a piece like this, and it's been stuck in my head for days. so for fucks sake let me take it."
Her eyes drifted over the page, taking in her brush strokes, "on one condition."
Her whispering voice caught the blonde off guard, "and that is?"
Pursing her lips together as she held onto one side of the page before ripping it out, "to watch it happen."
Scrunching his brow, "you mean to it get inked onto my skin?"
Nodding her head as she gripped onto the page, waiting for an answer.
Smirking at her request, "I wouldn't have it any other way."
"I'd be honoured then for you to have something of mine on your skin," extending her arms to give him the piece of paper.
Giving her a small smile as he took the paper from her hands, "thank you." Turning around with his prize in hand, he exited the shop.
Striding into the studio, he headed straight over to Mina at her desk. Slamming the piece onto her desk, "book this in for next week."
Chuckling as she scratched her cheek, looking down at the piece, "I can see why you've been distracted now."
"shut up," growling as he stepped away from the pinkette.
Kirishima stepped towards Mina, wanting to check out the artwork. His red orbs landed on a piece he would never in a million years expect his friend to want. Leaning forward to take in all the detail, he understood why the explosive male couldn't get his mind off it; it was truly something else. Turning to comment, he noticed the blonde had taken a seat at his desk and begun working on the piece for his five o'clock review.
The redhead's orbs flicked to the woman across that was now bouncing around the shop with a blinding smile.
