Chapter 18: A Neighborhood Play (PT.1)

Ashter is seen making a potion, as he adds ingredients to make it.

"Next it a tiny chip of sapphire..." Ashter said, grabbing the precious sapphire gem as he hits it with a rock, crushing it as he sorts through it, grabbing a piece of sapphire.

"Perfect!" Ashter said as he tosses it into a brew of many other ingredients.

"Next is..." Ashter thinks as he looks through the book.

"A full Pure Emerald and a full Moonlight Flower and a Mermaid Tear...? Hm..." Ashter said as he looks through his shelves, grabbing the three ingredients.

"Okay... Then I put them one at a time." Ashter said as he crushes the Emerald, as he scraps it into the mix, it mixes as sapphire blue and emerald green clash with each other, Ashter wants that.

"Perfect... Now for the Moonlight Flower..." Ashter said, as he gently places the flower in the middle of the brew, it sinks as a deep blue combines into the brew as the brew turns into a dark blue and turquoise color. Ashter sighed in relief.

"Now, time for the Mermaid Tear..." Ashter said, grabbing a small perfume bottle of the tears as he gently opens the bottle, tilting the bottle as one drop of the tear goes into the mix. Ashter caps the bottle as the mix starts sparkling, turning into a more pastel blue and turquoise color as Ashter places some white glitter in the brew.

"They like white glitter, huh?" Ashter says as he packs the liquid in a box, it contains 10 potions as Ashter marks them with a '75.99 Dollar' tag on it before hovering his hands over the box, it disappears with a mist. Ashter sits down as he checks the time.

"Man... I didn't get this tired since Elementary..." Ashter said as he hears his doorbell ring. Ashter grabs his Energy Potion he carried as he drinks a bit more of it, regaining energy as he goes to the door. It was Aphmau.

"O-Oh, it's Aph," Ashter said as he opens the door.

"Hey Aph, how's it going?" Ashter said as Aphmau nods.

"Good, but listen. I need your help." She said as Ashter was all ears.

"Yeah, what's up?" Ashter said as Aphmau breathes in, then out.

"Okay! So I asked the guys to audition for a play at dusk. Would you like to join us?" Aphmau said as Ashter remembers him on a stage, playing a character... Ashter stops thinking as he smiled.

"Yeah, sure. What's the play?" Ashter said as Aphmau breathes in, then out.

"It's Romeo and Juliet," Aphmau said as Ashter thinks, before nodding.

"Sure, why not," Ashter said as Aphmau thanked him.

"Thank you so much, Ash! You won't regret this!" Aphmau said as he walks off, Ashter sighed as he checks the time.

"A few more hours... I should create that one potion..." Ashter said as he grabs a paper from his pocket.

"Hm... An Emerald Potion? Uh... Okay?" Ashter looks at the recipe as he thinks.

"Wow... That's a lot of ingredients..." Ashter thinks as he gets to work.

"Water..." Ashter said going to a smaller brewing stand, it contains three slots for the potions to produce.

"First... Powdered Moonstone..." Ashter said, grabbing a handful of Powdered Moonstone, putting it in a bottle that mixes it with the water.

"Distilled Sand..." Ashter says as he places the sand, it mixed into the dust as it turns more of a messy blue and purple...

"Mermaid Tears..." Ashter said, dropping a few drops of the tears as it brightened the messy blue into a lighter blue, almost to a white color as Ashter was... Very concerned about the next ingredients.

"Cheese?" Ashter said as he doesn't remember Cheese being an ingredient in ANY potion... As he adds a few shavings of cheese. And it does make the potion a more of a lime green color as Ashter expected a cheesy smell, but it didn't happen thank God.

"Then Beeswax..." Ashter says as he grabs beeswax from his shelve as he crushed it, putting the beeswax in the mixture as it turns very pastel yellow.

"Then... A UNICORN HAIR!?!" Ashter yells as he was startled.

"I can't even get those..." Ashter says as he grabs a unicorn hair from his box marked 'Special Items'. He only hair a few stands, but they are also very hard to get. Due to them only approaching those with pure hearts and because Ashter can't go back to the Mythical Realm until next month. Ashter sucks it up as he places the hair in the mix as it turns into a pastel blue...

"Whoa... It changed very quickly..." Ashter said as he sees the last ingredient.

"And one Pure Emerald... I just used one!" Ashter said, angrily as he grabs the gem, crushing it as he puts it in the mix, the brewing stand stands vibrating as Ashter was a bit startled.

"Whoa... Is still potion even real?" Ashter said as the mixture poured into three separate bottles automatically...

"Phew..." Ashter said as he caps the bottles, bottling at it as it glows brightly of a pastel blue and emerald green color...

"I never saw a potion like this... Wow..." Ashter said as his alarm rings off.

"Oh! That play! I have to... Wait..." Ashter thinks as he remembers, Aphmau didn't even tell him where it is.

"What the heck Aph!?!" Ashter yells as moments later, he is seen rushing inside a huge building as he sees the others. Aphmau, Katelyn, Garroth, Dante, and Laurance. Including Travis.

"Hey, guys! I'm sorry I was late hehe..." Ashter said as Katelyn brightly looks at Ashter.

"Great! Now we just need a few more!" Katelyn said as Aphmau and Aaron enters.

"Aph, Aaron, I am glad you made it," Katelyn said as Aphmau smiled.

"Well... I have everyone now!" Aphmau said as Katelyn thinks for a second, sitting at a table as she stares off at the moderately big theater stage as Garroth, Dante, and Laurance stand on the right side of the stage, as Aphmau and Aaron stand on the left while Ashter sits at the edge, waiting for Katelyn to say anything.

"Well... Do we even have anyone who wants to audition?" Katelyn said as Ashter raises his hand.

"May I audition for a role?" Ashter says as Katelyn smiled.

"Then you can be Romeo!" Katelyn said as the boys were surprised, Ashter hearings a loud,

"WHAT!?!" From the guys as Aaron and Aphmau stand there. Katelyn frowning.

"But... We don't even have a Juliet..." Katelyn said as Aphmau quickly says,

"I-I can audition for Juliet!" Aphmau said like everyone, even Aaron was shocked.

"T-That's great! Now we have a Romeo and Juliet!" Katelyn said as the guys then started yelling,

"I want to audition!"

"Count me in!"

"Romeo is out of retirement!" Says the guys as Katelyn looked at them.

"Are you sure it isn't because Aphmau is in it?" Katelyn said as the four shakes their head.

"N-No! Not at all!" Garroth said as Laurance agreed.

"Yeah! We don't mind what role we pick!"

"Ye," Travis said as Laurance and Garroth looked at him.

"Travis!" The two said as Katelyn was excited.

"Okay! Auditions will start tomorrow then!" She said as Aphmau was red as Aaron comforted her.

"I can audition too, right?" Aaron said as Katelyn looked up, taking a second before nodding.

"Yeah! Sure!" She said as Aaron smiled.

"Great." He said as Ashter was a bit embarrassed.

("Please Irene... Don't put more Drama in my life then I want...") Ashter thinks as Ashter prepared for tomorrow... What an odd day for potions and plays.
