Chapter 32: Lucinda and Ashter's magic training

"Hey, Ashy. We seriously need to review our magic and spells." Lucinda says as Ashter was considering but very wary.

"Uh... I don't know, I already learned a lot-"

"Nonsense! You always said that healing magic wasn't your forte, so we're going to do it." Lucinda said as Cadenza enters the room.

"What's the fuss about?" She says as Ashter shrugged.

"Eh... Lucinda wants me to practice my healing magic, even though I said I'M GOOD." Ashter says as Lucinda sighs.

"Well, remember that one time we had to use healing magic to wake up Aphmau?" Lucinda said as Ashter does remember.

"Well, I already told you! I'm good with healing!" Ashter said as Lucinda sighs.

"Hey! You told me to help you too, that tells me you need help!" Lucinda says as Ashter sighs.

"Fine... Tell me what I need to do." Ashter said as he stands in front of a table seconds later with... Fruits? Lucinda chuckled as he demonstrates a way of healing magic.

"Healing magic is a way to heal the wounds of others or yourself. But since you're a... Human... It'll take a while to heal someone's wounds within seconds." Lucinda says as he healed a bitten apple as Ashter sighs.

"Well... It is true..." Ashter says as Lucinda chuckled.

"Well, hurry up and heal these fruits!" Lucinda said as Cadenza cheers Ashter on. Ashter sighing as he grabs a fruit, closing his eyes as it glows green as it fades in and out, the Apple that is noticed rotting in a certain spot are seen refreshing in about a minute, Ashter takes a deep breath as he places in Apple down, as Lucinda and Cadenza judge him.

"Well, it is fixed... It looks very fresh..." Cadenza said as Lucinda takes over the judging.

"Okay! So there are a few spots here and there, it does seem fresh but in reality, it's still rotten on the inside. Ashter, you took WAY too long on the healing." Lucinda said as Cadenza sighs.

"Well, I'll just let you take command, Lucinda." Cadenza said as Ashter had a face that says,

"Help me..." He says as Cadenza smiled.

"She's all your, Ashter." Cadenza said as she laughs, rushing away.

"Well, I want you to heal the inside of the Apple again, but this time, COMPLETELY do it.

"Ugh... Fine~!" Ashter says as Lucinda smiled.

"Hurry it up! We have more to go through!" Lucinda says as moments later... Ashter is seen concentrating hard as he hovers his hand over a HUGE watermelon as it glows a bright green. It is extremely damaged with rotten spots and cut marks and one bullet to a face.

"How do you keep these rotten-"

"Focus!" Lucinda yells as Ashter keeps concentrating as the watermelon soon heals itself quickly.

"I-I did it!" Ashter says as Lucinda smiled.

"Look at you! You did it!" Lucinda said as Ashter sits down on the chair, but a hand hits the table, making Ashter jump out of his seat.

"Hey! Now, show me any spells or magic you know!" Lucinda said as Ashter's eyes glow yellow, as a glow surrounds Ashter as Lucinda walks around it.

"Ah, Barrier Spells. Very difficult to learn." Lucinda says as he puts his hands down, his hands, the barrier fading.

"Now! I know you know very difficult Fire Spells, but show me anything else!" Lucinda says as Ashter shows off many Wind Spells as Lucinda grins.

"Can't top that, huh!?!" Ashter says as Lucinda chuckled.

"Well, I didn't pay for College just for Witchcraft you know," Lucinda said as Ashter studders but just keeps quiet.

"I know... Don't worry Ashy, you're okay to express how you lived your College Life." Lucinda says as Ashter admits,

"I do have a huge perk of Spells, but I rather keep those bottled up at the moment," Ashter said as Lucinda then stares at Ashter, Ashter staring back as he became a bit nervous...

"Well... Now, time for the tea." Lucinda said as Ashter was a bit confused.

"The tea you always prepare?" Ashter said as Lucinda nods.

"No no no, the REAL tea..." Lucinda said as Ashter's eyes widened.

"U-Uh... OH! That tea!" Ashter says as Lucinda nods, as she then says,

"About you and... Katelyn..." Lucinda says as Ashter started blushing.

"T-There is NOTHING going on between us! Hehehe! We're just friends!" Ashter yells as Lucinda smiled.

"Ah... I know something isn't going on between you two... But what are your feelings towards her?" Lucinda said, getting into Ashter's personal space as Ashter's right leg is pulled back, and his left leg stands still while his hands are up, Ashter blushed a lot as he tries to change the topic.

"I-I mean... How are you and Cadenza feeling!?!" Ashter says as Lucinda sighs.

"You're talking to a witch, don't change the topic," Lucinda says as Ashter soon sighs.

"FINE. But don't tell... ANYONE about this!" Ashter says as Lucinda pulls away.

"Yep, just spill the tea already," Lucinda says as Ashter sighs. Ashter crosses her arms as she sighs.

"Well... I do have... Some feelings..." Ashter says as Lucinda grins.

"Ah, so you DO like that hotheaded girl..." Lucinda said as Ashter's eyes glow a dense red as Ashter's face blushed even more.

"I WON'T TALK IF YOU SAY THAT AGAIN ABOUT HER," Ashter says as Katelyn chuckles. Ashter soon closes his eyes as they fade to their normal colors as Ashter opens his eyes.

"Well yes... I did like Katelyn for a few weeks..." Ashter says as Lucinda smiled.

"That's so sweet. How did it happen?" Lucinda says as Ashter thinks as he remembers the restaurant they go to...

"I... Take her to this restaurant from time to time..." Ashter says as Lucinda sighs.

"Well... Just... Don't bother!" Ashter said as Lucinda's phone rings.

"Oh, wait, I got something to take care of, be right back," Lucinda says as Ashter waits for her to leave, as Ashter sighs when she goes into another room. Ashter tried to rebuild his composure as Lucinda barges in the room, yelling,

"ASHTER!" She screams as Ashter jumps.

"Lucinda! I was, uh! Trying to keep me from dying from embarrassment!" Ashter said as Lucinda screams,

"There's an anime convention in town! A-Con!"

"What is A-Con?" Ashter says as Lucinda was dumbfounded.

"W-What!?! You haven't heard of... Oh... Yeah..." Lucinda says as she then grabs Ashter.

"We need to get some costumes for you! Hurry it up!" Lucinda said as Ashter sighs as he smiles...
