Reborn as a Stranger

Chapter 3

      "Xiao Zhan...." David came running towards Zhan.
    
       ".... Oh hi David... " He answered feeling awkward.

       "Did you think about what i said" Expected from a straight forward guy. He jumped in to the matter as soon as they met. Is he in a hurry? Zhan just wanted to go to his class and chat with his friends.

       "Ah... Ah yes.. I did...."

       "So what's your reply?" David is surely on point.

       "David.... I don't know what i'm feeling actually. I never fell in love before. That thought never crossed my mind.... To be honest i didn't even interested in anyone... "

        "So are you rejecting me Zhan? Can you at least give me a chance to prove myself? I promise i won't bother you if you don't feel the same way after that.... Or are you disgusted in me? Because i'm gay? "

       "NO... No that's not what i mean... I'm not that kind of person... I accept everyone as they are... It's just that i don't know what i feel for you can be called liking. May be it's something like an attraction or may be it's because you left a good impression. But with that only how can i say that i like you? I don't want to give false hopes David. I don't want to hurt someone like you... Sorry David... You're a good guy... If possible i want to be friends with you.... But being boyfriends... That i'm not sure... " Zhan looked guilty for saying this to him.

         "..... Oh.....You just rejected me kindly Zhan... Like you did with everyone who confessed to you.... But i don't want to be like that one of many to you Zhan... I know you have felt something for me too.... It's your fear that holding back from admitting.... I won't give up Zhan... I'll make sure to let you feel my love for you..."

      Saying that David walked away from Zhan. Zhan stood there in a daze. He doesn't know what he supposed to do in this kind of situation. Atlast he just shrugged and walked to his class thinking the words from David nothing but just a mere words from a disappointed person.

     David kept his promise. His persistence to make Zhan fell in love with him broke through the walls of determination and insecurities of Zhan. Now Zhan and David are a couple. Nothing much changed in their life. Only Zhan's friends and David's friends were the people who knows about their relationship. They acted like friends, texted each other and called each other everyday. And that's it. Nothing more than that. One day David invited Zhan to a date and they went to a park. They talked a lot, walked through the park and kissed each others cheeks.

      Zhan was in so love with David... It took sometime for him to feel that way. Though that never been a problem for him. He got to know more about David and in Zhan's eyes he was a good person in and out. Their love was sweet... David never insisted to go further in their relationship knowing Zhan wasn't ready for that. He never did anything Zhan doesn't like. This all made Zhan to fall deeper for him.

      Happy moments won't last long... One day When David offered Zhan to drop him to his home. Zhan reluctantly agreed to that. All this time whenever David offered him a ride on his bicycle, Zhan politely rejected. That made David a little angry and that was the first argument they ever had. Zhan didn't want to start another cause he don't want to pass a day without talking to his boyfriend. So he accepted the ride. After dropping Zhan in front of his house, David gave a kiss on his cheeks and smiled gently at him. Zhan flabbergasted by the sudden kiss turned red and said goodbye in a hurry. He had a shy smile on his face when he walked to his home.

      "Xiao Zhan" Xiao Zhifei called him.

      "Yes Dad? "
     
      Zhan thought something's not right. His father won't call his full name unless he is mad about something. He turned to face his dad who was looking at him with an unreadable expression.
