Reborn as a Stranger

Chapter 10

"What?.... What are you saying?.... Are you playing pranks on me?" Zhan's shocked voice echoed through one of the big rooms in the mansion.

"Calm down Zhanzhan. We know you will have problem with believing what you just heard. But it's the truth. If you want we can show you" Yifan said.

"You can show me? Show me what? Please... I'm not a child to believe this kind of stories... Is there any hidden cameras around here?" Zhan asked looking suspiciously around the room.

It's an afternoon when everyone gathered around the living room after lunch. Zhan had already discharged from hospital and now he's living in a mansion where the Wei family and Lan family resides.

They were having a good time until Wei Yifeng thought it's the best time to break the news to Zhan. He already expected the way Zhan reacted. Who can blame him for not believing supernatural stuff telling at a random time and at a modern era like this?

Everyone of the Wei brothers and their wives along with Yibo is there. Zhan looked at each of their faces to find that they were joking telling him that they are vampires and more than 300 years old. However there's not a single proof that they're lying to him. They looked back at him with a serious face.

"Ooookay... So you guys are telling me that all of you are vampires... I...i was your brother in my previous life or more like i reincarnated... You were looking for me all this time and now you found me... Am i correct?" Zhan asked more like summarised what he heard from them.

"Yes"

"Then how am i not a vampire? If what you were saying is true then i should be a vampire like you. Aren't vampires are like undead with an infinite lifespan and incredible super powers? Then how could i possibly die?" Zhan asked again.

Zhan was already thinking a lot of scenarios in his head about his previous life and death. It's  almost comical to the extent his face changed expressions at every 10 seconds.

"We will tell you that some other time. You can't digest all at once. For the time being you should know that we're not strangers and we intent no harm. We're your family. You're our brother. Don't think too much about it." Yifeng said to put a stop for the serious talk.

There's a lot more questions that need answers but Zhan let it slide for now considering what Yifeng said was true. He almost died and came back to life. So it's not the time to indulge in complicated life stories and supernatural stuff.

"Can i ask one last question?" Zhan looked hopeful towards Yifeng.

"Go on" Yifeng chuckled at his brother's curiosity.

"If you guys are my brothers and these ladies over here is your wives then what is Yibo to me? Are we just brother-in-laws? I don't think he could be my friend with his personality. No offense though. " Zhan said and that when everyone became aware of Yibo's presence in the room. He didn't utter a single word all this time.

The question made everyone uncomfortable and sad. Zhan as dense he is, he couldn't grasp the situation. He looked back and forth to all the faces in front of him.

"He was your best friend." Yifeng slowly spoke. His voice strained and it's like he wants to speak more but refraining from it.

Yibo gave a questioning look to Yifeng but didn't say anything. He knows his brother has his reasons to conceal the truth. He will wait for him to say it to him. However he do has a clue why he said that they're just friends. Zhan is human and he has his own life before they came. Also he is in a relationship with someone. That's what nobody guessed before. To Yibo, Zhan's happiness is what he wants. So if he is happy with that person then he won't try to separate them. They don't know how Zhan will take all this at the end of the day. He has the right to afraid of them and he may despise them.
