Safe place (Markhyuck)

Just an FYI, if you start reading this now, I am in the process of editing to change Taeil's character, because I feel it's the right thing to do. So if you get ahead of me Just know that his character will now be Taeyong.

"Jaemin, babe it's going to be fun. I've missed him and I'm sure he will be a good roommate." Jaemin pouts his lips at his irresistible boyfriend.
"I know, it's just that now I'm going to have to share you and I don't want to, and the way you talked about him before makes it sound like he's an asshole." Jeno kisses his lips softly and tries to speak but the doorbell rings indicating the subject at hand is now here.
"I love you, this will be great." He says jogging to the door. He swings it open and greets Mark with a big hug which the other reciprocates.
"It's been so long. Damn you've grown up." Mark states squeezing Jeno's bicep. Jeno chuckles and pulls him in facing His boyfriend.
"This is my amazing and beautiful other half, Jaemin." The latter blushes and holds his hand out.
"It's nice to meet you Mark." He says politely.
"You too, Jeno wasn't lying when he said you're beautiful." Jaemin blushes again and turns to his boyfriend to slap him on the arm. Mark chuckles and sighs.
"Thank you guys for letting me stay here, I'll get a place of my own as soon as I can." They both smile nicely.
"It's no problem, Jeno here has missed you so much and I only hope you have settled down a bit from your younger days. Yes Jeno has told me stories, and I don't want you getting him in trouble." Mark frowns and looks at Jeno.
"I'm not sure what exactly he's told you but I'm not that bad. Not any worse than most high school kids were, besides I've grown up." Jeno raises his hands in defense.
"I only told him about the trail of broken hearts you left behind." Jeno said chuckling hoping it would ease the tension but it only made it worse.
"Where is my room? I'm pretty tired." Mark says solemnly. Jaemin is sensing the tense atmosphere so he grabs his arm pulling him down the hallway.
"All right here you go. You are an adult so act like one and no bringing dates back here." Jaemin says before he leaves.
"Fuck." Mark yells under his breath. He starts unpacking his bag into the closet when he hears the door creak open.
"I'm sorry Mark, if I give Jaemin a bad impression of you it's just...." Mark shakes his head and holds his hand up.
"Stop. I don't need excuses. I get it. Goodnight." He says while not once turning in the other's direction. Jeno backs out and closes the door softly. He really does love his cousin and hates that this has happened.
"Maybe next time don't judge my family too harshly when you first meet them." He says sadly as he walks past Jaemin to their bedroom. Jaemin feels terrible but he was just going by what the other had said. He sits on the couch and finishes a cup of coffee, after a while he hears a door click and it's Mark coming out to the kitchen for water.
"Where's Jeno?" Mark asks looking for a glass. Jaemin comes in and hands him one before leaning against the counter and sighing.
"He's upset at me for how I treated you and I've been reflecting on my words and yes I was mean and I'm sorry. I don't think he told me with the intention to run you down, he thought it was funny I guess but I just don't want it to run in the family. You know the heartbreaker gene? Like I am so in love with him and he's just well, perfect and I don't want to lose him." Mark sighs.
"Yeah I was maybe a dick in high school but he never was and never will be like that. He talks about you like you are his oxygen and he couldn't survive without it so don't worry." Jaemin smiles and hugs Mark.
"I really am sorry, I judged you for something in your past and here you are being all smarter than me." They both laugh while Jeno walks out rubbing his eyes.  He makes eye contact with Mark then looks down. He feels a bit awkward but goes into the kitchen as well. He's quite surprised when Mark hugs him.
"Let's not start off like this ok? Jaemin and I are fine so you and I need to be. Just don't judge me until you get to know me please." Jeno smiles and pats his back. "Ok I will do better." The three sat on the couch talking into the night. Mark has been working hard at getting his degree in business and the other two have been working on their education too. They are younger by two years so while Mark has graduated and is starting his internship the other two still have a couple years of school left.
"Well don't worry about me, I won't be in your way. Most nights we probably won't even see each other, I'm starting my internship in a couple days and I'm hoping to find a paying job for after so I can pay my way." Jeno nods and side hugs him as they are getting ready to actually go to bed. Now that they've cleared the air they are going to be great friends. At least that's the hope.
