Sorry my lovelies! I forgot to post that they were speaking in Irish in the previous chapter. Hopefully the translations aren't to bad. Enjoy!
He watched her eat for a moment, slowly sipping on his coffee as he did. When he was sure that she was thoroughly enjoying her food he began to speak to her.
"Mar sin, is dócha go bhfuil tú ag fiafraí cén fáth a bhfuil tú anseo i mo theach in ionad do shaolré.(So, you are probably wondering why you are here in my home instead of your after life.)"
"Sea bhí mé ag smaoineamh faoi. Cén fáth a bhfuil mé anseo? An ndearna mé rud éigin mícheart i mo shaol?(Yes I was wondering about it. Why am I here? Have I done something wrong in my life?)"
"Níl, geallaim duit nach bhfuil aon rud cearr déanta agat. Ba é mo chinneadh gur thug tú anseo tú. Tá dhá rogha á dtabhairt agam duit. Ar dtús, is féidir leat fanacht anseo ar feadh tamaill agus cinneadh a dhéanamh más mian leat a bheith ar mo thaobh. Nó dhá cheann, is féidir leat imeacht agus dul chuig do dhuine roghnaithe tar éis an tsaoil go dtí go mbeidh d’anam réidh le seoladh ar ais chuig an réimse talmhaí le hathbheochan.(No, I assure you that you have not done anything wrong. It was my decision to have you brought here. I am giving you two options. First, you can remain here for a time and decide if being at my side is what you wish. Or two, you can leave and go to your chosen after life until your soul is ready to be sent back to the earthly realm to be reborn.)"
"Cá fhad a chaithfidh mé cinneadh a dhéanamh?(How long do I have to decide?)"
"Tabharfaidh mé cúpla lá duit chun do chinneadh a dhéanamh. Má roghnaíonn tú fanacht, tabharfar mí duit chun cinneadh a dhéanamh an bhfanfaidh tú anseo liom. Nuair a bheidh cinneadh déanta agat, ní bheidh aon athrú ar do chinneadh. Beidh éifeachtaí do chinnidh buan.(I will give you a few days to make your decision. Should you choose to stay, you will be given one month to decide if you will remain here with me. Once you have decided, there will be no changing your decision. The effects of your decision will be permanent.)"
She nodded her head slowly as she chewed. He could see the wheels turning in her head as he sipped his coffee. He did not expect an answer today as it was an important decision so when she spoke to him again, it startled him.
"An bhfuil aon choinníollacha ann go bhfanfaidh mé anseo leat ar feadh na míosa?(Is there any conditions to me staying here with you for the month?)"
"Is ea, dar fia, tá. Má roghnaíonn tú fanacht liom ar feadh míosa, ní bheidh tú in ann ballaí an tí seo a fhágáil. Má fhágann tú, caillfidh tú do chorp fisiceach agus seolfar go díreach chuig do shaol tar éis do shaol é. Is leatsa an cinneadh. Caithfidh sé a bheith ormsa go roghnaíonn tú thar aon rud eile má roghnaíonn tú fanacht ag mo thaobh. An dtuigeann tú seo?(Yes there is. Should you choose to stay with me for a month, you will be unable to leave the walls of this house. Should you leave, you will lose your physical body and end up being sent directly to your after life. The decision has to be yours. It will have to be me that you choose over all else if you choose to remain at my side. Do you understand this?)"
"Sea, tuigim. Roghnaím fanacht anseo leat ar feadh na míosa. Má roghnaíonn mé fanacht anseo an gcaithfidh mé fanacht go mbeidh deireadh leis an mí sula dtabharfaidh mé mo fhreagra deiridh?(Yes, I understand. I choose to remain here with you for the month. If I choose to remain here do I still have to wait for the month to be over with before I give my final answer?)"
"Sea a dhéanann tú. Ní cinneadh é is féidir a dhéanamh go gasta. Cinntíonn mí amháin go ndéanfaidh tú cinneadh nach mbeidh aiféala ort. Má roghnaíonn tú fanacht liom ar mo thaobh, éireoidh tú mar atá mé.(Yes you do. It is not a decision that can be made in haste. One month ensures that you will make a decision that you will not regret. Should you choose to remain with me at my side, you will become as I am.)"
"Agus cad é sin?(And what is that?)"
"Dia, gan é in ann bás a fháil ar aon bhealach marfach.(A god, unable to die by any mortal means.)"
She nodded her head again as she finished off her plate and coffee. He led her back towards the room they would be sharing, hopefully now stocked with clothing she would find acceptable. He still had several hours to sleep before he needed to continue sorting. Even gods needed to sleep. They climbed back into bed her taking him by surprise again as she curled up near him to fall back asleep with a full stomach. He waited until her soft puffs of breath evened out before dragging her up against his chest to fall asleep. She did not realize the gift she had given when she chose to give him the month to win her over. Centuries he had gone without a companion by his side. He already felt the beginnings of her effect on his system, reveling in the energized feeling he was getting just by her proximity. Now he would just have to convince her to remain at his side. Sleep overtook him as he thought of what his future would be like with her in it. A smile dawned his lips as he went peacefully into slumber.
