The multi storeyed building towered over me in its glory. The white paint was elegant and glowered in its beauty.
I sauntered towards the office of Jayden. It was about night when I reached there. I rushed towards the cabin in hurry.
"Oh, someone is back." Without doing a glance, Jayden said as he was immersed in his files. The employees had left the building, a sort of vacuum filled between us. I felt awkward asking help from him but I didn't have any other choice.
"I..I wanted a favour."
"Favour? From me? Oh I thought you were capable enough..."
"Can you stop your taunts for now? It's always you whom I have helped.."
"For getting your bloody job, for not revealing your identity in front of a crowd, you forgot all that?"
"Thanks for freshening the memories. Actually I want your help badly."
"Sorry you won't get any help here. In fact the relationship of you with this company had ended the day I fired you. How dare you come here."
Arrogant son of a bastard.
"Oh fuck you Mr. Jayden Reyes. You just..You just never fail to meet my predictions about you. It was a mistake to come to you. You know that's why you are always lonely everywhere you go, no friends, no relationship, nothing, you deserve nothing, you son of a bastard." I raged out of his cabin.
As I reached the ground floor I saw Dylan.
"Hey Helen. What happened?" On seeing me he rushed to me with a beautiful smile.
"I..I came to ask a favour from Jayden. But he refused."
"Oh silly, you know his character. Besides there's a lot of shit going now."
"What is it?"
"But tell me what you needed?"
"That's, you know I wanted a job at a dance studio, but I would only get that if Jayden approves their funding for their mega show, which seems impossible to happen."
"Oh that. Actually there are things behind that you don't know. Funding that event was a mistake by River." Dylan mumbled, coming closer to me.
"What are you saying?"
"Jayden never approved it. But River made it happen anyway as one trainer their was his best friend."
"Oh."
"But things went haywire when two trainers left the studio."
"But how that's gonna affect funding?" I was in dilemma.
"The thing is two were gay and going to get married which was against the wish of their manager, Annie."
"So thats why she dismissed them? I thought they had left due to personal reasons."
"Annie is homophobic, and this dismissal has caused few controversies, which our company doesn't wanna be in, thays why Jayden...."
"I understand Dylan." I heaved in a sigh as I knew I was never gonna get the job of a dance trainer, maybe I should try somewhere else.
"I need to go, Dylan."
My phone beeped as it showed me a message from Ezlyn, 'party at la vista' it read.
Ezlyn and her parties!
*****
"OMG you made it my girl," Ezlyn hugged me when I reached the club."Yeah, things are not going good and I wanted a relief from all that."
"How's your brother?"
"He is getting better."
"You wanted job, right? Here meet my friend Annie." Ezlyn pointed at a girl wearing a whit shirt and black pencil skirt, her blonde waves of hair cascaded over her shoulder, and she wore brown shade lipstick which made her more sexy.
"Hey, Helen. Ez has told me about you."
"But I don't know.."
"I own the dance studio where you used to practice, in fact I was with you before I went to abroad for management studies."
"Oh my, you are that Annie! I never knew, you changed, you changed a lot Ann."
"Thanks Hel."
She was in our squad, her father owned the studio but she never had any taste in dance and was this messy girl who would always like always step in my feet while dancing.
Our friendship started by quarrel but that gave me a sweet friend. I had forgotten about her as I never had any contact.
"So when did you come here?" I wanted to know all about her. My excitement had no boundaries.
"Just few weeks back. I met Ezlyn at Meraki, and came to know about you. That's why I asked her to call you here. I wanted to meet you. It's so long I trampled your feet. I miss your cries." She smirked at me.
"Ugh, Ann."
"Hey guys!"
Stephanie!
"Ez, why the hell you called Steph?" I whispered at Ezlyn angrily.
"But..?" She was confused.
"You don't know?" I asked her in a mumbled voice.
