Y/N POV

I still hardly believed that I just lost quite a lot of blood last night due to a hallucination in which my dead parents were talking to me. I wasn't exactly a bright witch, which was obvious to some people, yet I wasn't that dumb too; it was probably the shock that got me like that.

However, I reckoned If I had my full consciousness yesterday, I would still die from confusion and overthinking—that would certainly worsen the anxiety rush. I would've caught a stroke if Draco didn't come on time.

Morning struck faster than I wished. Being cuddled to sleep helped a lot to hush the nightmare, but I just wished it could last longer. The bloody sun wouldn't cooperate with me today.

"Morning princess," said Draco the second I lifted my lids.

Did he not sleep? Or he simply woke way earlier than me?

I closed my eyes tightly and snuggled to his chest instead of waking up. I didn't care anymore if he would mock me later for behaving this way, I wanted to stay in bed with him just a bit longer—all day if we could.

"Oh, someone doesn't wanna wake up just yet."

"Uh-huh," I responded lazily.

My mind raced back to what I had been pondering since Draco cleansed my wounds in the bathroom last night. I could tell he was honest when he said he wasn't mad at me for dodging his kiss, still, it guilted me nonetheless. As his hand played with my hair, twirling and tucking it behind my ear, I began to think that this might be the right time to say what I had been meaning to say to him since we made up.

I opened my eyes again yet this time I had them remain open for me to look up at him and found how adoring his smile was; only around me did Draco allowed himself to express this side of him. That always made me feel special for apparent reasons and I hoped I made him feel the same way too, that he was truly one of a kind.

"It must've been hard for you," I whispered, encouraging a question mark to pop in his head as he raised his eyebrow, utterly puzzled.

"A 16-year-old being forced to be a Death Eater, mend an old weird cabinet and make an attempt to put Dumbledore to death. Those were not easy tasks but you did it all without flaw secretly, with a hope for the ugly truth to not be sought by me. You are a genius and you succeeded until my birthday, why Draco?"

His finger stopped going through my hair. Instead, he brought it to my cheek.

"I love you Y/N and I hate lying to you. What I want is for you to be safe and near . . . I'd be lying again if I said I didn't burn for your warmth and tenderness. Thus I realised more lies would only plant seeds of hatred, I cannot bear to have you hate me, love."

"And I cannot take my words back. I hate you Draco Malfoy," I paused to see the expression change on him from what seemed to be already all melancholic and now worse. "I hate you for sacrificing yourself for me, I'm not worth the torment you've gone through."

"No, you mean the world to me to make everything I did worth the shot. Please don't say you're leaving me after this, don't make this an excuse for your leaving. I'm fine, I'm not hurting, you see? I have always been so much of a blithesome being when you're near."

Tears accumulated at the edge of his eyes, only a matter of seconds before it coursed down his face. It wasn't what I intended, he ought not to cry this morning or any other time again.

"You will always have me near, Draco. I'm staying with you even if the world is ending the next time we wake up like this. I say you're stuck with me forever."
