!!TRIGGER WARNING!!
-This chapter might be somewhat disturbing to some people-Y/N POV
Draco continued to act cold and indifferent as if I wasn't in the same room with him. His mum must've sensed the tension between us because she kind of brought that up indirectly after Draco showed her the smooth top of his front and back. In that case, she was shocked to know her son healed this fast but the tight air between me and Draco seemed to take more of her concern right now.
I didn't get the chance to explain the real reason why we were driving further when things were supposed to get better for us. Draco stole the opportunity to speak for both of us and lied to Mother Cissy; he said we were fine and he was plainly overwhelmed by the fast healing.
Right, we should behave normally as he said.
The healer came not long after Mother Cissy tried to dig more information from me, asking what was wrong as she didn't buy what her son claimed. She knew we wouldn't be willing to sit so far from each other if the bond was okay—moreover, we just got back together, this should be the time where we craved each other's affection more than most.
And I did.
I wanted to hold his hand, stroke his chest while we cuddled, talk about anything that I knew would distract me from doubting whether I should preserve a relationship with someone whose dad murdered my parents or let go.
Maybe I want too much yet give so little.
It was so hard to fight this weird feeling I had in my belly when he tried to kiss me on the lips.
"Miss? Are you with us?"
The healer's voice dragged me back from my negative reverie.
"Are you okay, dear?" Asked Mother Cissy tenderly.
"Y—yeah, what's it that you asked?" I stood up abruptly, backing away from everyone.
"Can you show me the healing drop?" The healer who looked like in his mid-50s got closer to me.
So Draco had told him about the enchanted clothes. I shifted my gaze to my fiance and found him staring at me already; he was worried, I knew he was yet after a few seconds he looked away as if it was a sin to look me in the eye for more than 2 seconds.
I told the healer—who later asked me to call him by his name, Rob—I would have to take the bottle with the healing drop in the other room. Mother Cissy offered her company but I would appreciate it more to go alone. Draco the bipolar ferret cared no less to say anything before I left—oh, I swore to God, if we weren't in some sort of a cold war, I would've been mad and yelling at him now for giving me no attention whatsoever.
Hence, I made a quick round trip to Draco's room and took a small bottle with me back to the guest room. The healer snatched it from my hand; his long nails clawed at me, but luckily it didn't leave any scratch though I flinched in surprise.
"This is just water!" He shouted. "Those cuts cannot magically disappear unless you're lying to me and you used the essence of dittany on him!"
"I'm not lying! Really, I only sprayed that healing drop on his clothes, I don't have any healing potion besides that one," I denied while taking a step back.
"Then where did you get this? You little liar, do you think you can outsmart me?!" He taunted, advanced forwards to corner me.
What is wrong with this silly old man?
If only he knew I was a Richards. Mother Cissy suggested that we ought to keep my identity secret here for the best and now I was getting the worst treatment from other people in all my 17 years of life—other than the pussycat-obsessed Umbridge, of course. We all know she was the worst.
