Y/N POV
The sun rays and stings from my hand woke me up naturally. I recognised that I wasn't in Malfoy's room anymore though the furniture was the same, the room layout was designed to be the opposite of Malfoy's bedroom—not a very distinct difference by eye. The smell of new paint on the wall told me it was newly painted in a rush yet still neatly done; it was in light blue, my favourite colour.
There was even a piano in the room, the very same unit Mrs Malfoy gifted me last year.
I winced in pain for my hand as I positioned myself to lean back at the headboard of the bed; I accidentally pressed the injured hand to the mattress way too hard. My sharp whine somehow woke someone who rested on the couch. Oh, the Lord knew how I regretted waking up again.
"Does it hurt much? Mother brought a healer to stitch the cut last night, it may sting, still," Malfoy treaded to the bed, bringing the vanity stool for him to sit.
"Go away."
He ignored my request to take a gander at the clock on the wall facing the bed. "The elves shall bring breakfast in ten minutes."
"I SAID GO AWAY!"
"This is my house, where else should I go?" He scoffed. Now, this sounded 100% more like the bastard Malfoy I should've avoided from year 1.
"And now, this is your house too, Y/N. You need to stay here for summer," he added.
"You mean I need to stay here for your master to kill me by the end of summer," I sniggered. "Oh, so very pleasant to know."
He acted like he didn't catch what I just said and proceeded to freeze in his lame sitting position while having his gaze fixed on me, and bleeding Merlin, I didn't like it very much.
Not long after, my hand began to twitch in pain again as if the wound was torn open over.
"Do you want me to call—"
"You should've let me die last night," I blurted, causing him to get irritated as shown by his rough grunt almost immediately after he listened to my rant. "You shouldn't have paralysed me. If you weren't so selfish, I wouldn't have to be here wincing to this bloody cut."
"I am selfish?" He moved closer, somewhat dry-cackling with disbelief.
"Yeah, you're a self-centred arsehole with a filthy trick all along. Was it easy to lure me into falling in love with you so you can kill me in just a snap?" I sneered, looking away from him to hide the tears that built up in the cave of my eyes. "You did it, Malfoy. I fell in love with you so please kill me now, what are you waiting for? Another killing won't be so hard for a murderer like you, right?"
"No," He muttered weakly.
"Kill me."
"No, Y/N."
And there went my 15-minute worth of morning. I was begging him to end this for me. He, being heartless, refused to do so. I didn't even try to keep my tears of rage off his sight anymore and that only resulted in him trying to touch my face several times.
"Malfoy, please . . . if there's the slightest mercy you owe me in your heart, cast the killing curse on me," I pleaded.
I never thought I would ever beg someone to kill me. Moreover, someone who had kept me alive through my parents' death, but again, he was the one behind it. What a shame for a Richards to be hoodwinked by a trifling peasant such as the Malfoy.
"ENOUGH!" He roared. "I tried so hard—I sacrificed myself to protect you. I'm not going to let it go in vain!"
Now all I could perceive was a sheer evil person who prided himself in being a Death Eater. Where the hell was my Draco Malfoy?
