While Jasper and Annie were looking for the captives, Meg searched the island to see what food would be good to have on the open sea.

"So you see, young man, when I was younger than you are now, I was brought out on the sea for a little trip with my parents," a voice said.

"Oh, no! It must be one of Captain Modi's crew members! I need to hide!" Meg thought to herself after hearing the unfamiliar voice. Luckily, there was a coconut tree nearby, so Meg climbed it to hide.

"A storm came along, which is how my parents were killed," the voice continued as Meg saw its owner and who he was talking to.

"Oh, my gosh! It's Caden! And that must be one of Captain Modi's crew members," Meg thought, knowing that she would need to figure out a way to save Caden now that they were nearby. She looked around and realized that she could knock out his abductor with a coconut if she were precise enough.

"I thought I would be doomed. Suddenly, Captain Modi and his crew came to the wreckage of the ship-" Caden abductor began before a coconut hit his head, and he fell to the ground unconscious.

"Please continue, Sir. I was rather enjoying the story," Caden told the unconscious Kevin.

"Sorry to hear that, Caden. I thought he had kidnapped you, so I knocked him out with that coconut so I could rescue you," Meg explained as she climbed down the tree.

"Oh, he did, I was just-Meg! Is that you? What are you doing here, and what did you do to your dress?" Caden asked as he looked at Meg.

"It's kind of a long story. After you left my mother's house, I decided that I would try to sail after you. So, with my cousin Annie, we sailed out to the middle of the sea, where we later came into contact with your crewmate, Jasper. Then the storm happened, so we made our way to this island to stay safe until it ended. However, after we realized Captain Modi was here as well, the three of us split up. So while I've been looking for more supplies we could be using on the journey, Jasper and Annie have been trying to find more members of your crew. As for my dress, I cut it at the beginning of the journey so I could move around better," Meg explained as she untied the ropes around Caden's wrists.

"Kevin? Where are you?" Captain Modi asked from a distance, not seeing either Caden or Meg.

"It's Captain Modi! We need to hide!" Caden whispered to Meg. So the two of them hid behind a bush that was more than twenty feet away from the pirates, but they were still able to see what was going on.

"Looking at this scene, I believe someone knocked him out with a coconut, and the boy escaped," Terrance observed.

"Okay, then, take Kevin back to the Air Mando, as for the captive-" Captain Modi commanded.

"You know what? We all want to get back out on the ocean, and that kid wasn't a very good pirate anyway. He was able to knock Kevin out, so he'll most likely be able to survive on this island on his own for a while. Besides, we have those two new captives on board, and we can start training them," Terrance interrupted. So the two men took the unconscious Kevin and walked back to their Air Mando.

"The good news is you're safe. The bad news is it seems that Jasper and Annie must now be captives on the ship," Meg realized as the two men walked away.

"And it looks as though they're about to sail off," Caden added.

"Well, let's get to the Night Wind and follow them!" Meg decided.

The two ran to their ship as fast as possible and immediately set sail to follow Captain Modi's boat.
