"What happened out there?" Terrance asked once they were alone.
"I don't know. I was fighting completely fine, but all of a sudden, I lost my focus," Captain Modi answered while crinkling some paper on his desk.
"Son, I've known you for more than twenty-five years. I know you don't just lose your focus like that. What really happened?"
"I can't help but notice that girl's resemblance to her," Captain Modi admitted.
"You're still thinking of that woman after all of those years?"
"I waited so long to see her, only to leave her once again. I wanted to return, but before I could, I found out she had died."
"Hey, Captain?" Are you feeling alright?" Bill asked from outside the room.
"Yes, I'm feeling much better now," Captain Modi replied as he stood up and left his cabin.
"Alright, everyone. For those of you who are new on the Air Mando, your first task is to get up to the crow's nest and be able to hoist the sails," he explained to the captives, trying to avoid eye contact with Meg. Once she was climbing up the rope ladder, and Jasper was waiting his turn, Captain Modi said to the rest of them, "As for the rest of you, today, you will be learning how to load the cannons and shoot them."
