Adelaide woke up with a pounding headache from crying most of the night. She flinched as she was hit by a strong wave of sadness remembering why she was crying. She had used her necklace against George. She made him forget about her. She didn't want him to forget about her, but she didn't want him to get hurt. She didn't think it through, she was so upset for being so impulsive.

Why why why did I use my necklace against him?

Viola, noticing that Adelaide was awake screamed, "OHHHH MYYYY GOSSHHHHH!!!!! I KNEW IT!"

Adelaide jumped, startled by her friend's random outburst, having not a single idea what she was freaking out about.

Viola rolled out of bed and flirtily began to walk towards Adelaide's bed, "I make my way to our dormitory last night and I see Draco walking out with a very very tired face and YOU" she tapped Adelaide's nose, "were the only one in the room. I think Perseus saw it too, because he looked absolutely FURIOUS. Care to share the details to your best friend?" Viola purred, jumping onto Adelaide's bed.

Adelaide's blush set in deeply as she fumbled for her words, "It..it isn't what you think Vi, really. Nothing happened."

Viola snapped off of Adelaide giving her a sarcastic frown, "Uh huh sure. Then tell me what did happened? Seriously Addie, you go back and forth with Draco, what are you waiting for? YOU TWO ARE PERFECT!" she screamed, not helping Adelaide's lingering headache, nor her aching heart.

"I just had a rough night and Draco was just making sure I was okay, that's all it was." Adelaide mumbled, praying that her friend would let it go. She was already terribly embarrassed that Viola thought something had happened and possibly her brother, but she also didn't have the energy to defend herself.

"Whatever you say Addie." she shot her a coy wink while grabbing a pillow and throwing it at her, "But I will say, if you don't go for Draco, you HAVE to at least give one of your Durmstrang arm candy boys a chance."

"Viola!" Adelaide cried in embarrassment.

"Tell me you don't think they are absolutely scrumptious." Viola's face turned serious with a playful eyebrow raise. Adelaide bit her lip, she really couldn't say they weren't good-looking, because they were, but she couldn't bring herself to even think that way about them after what happened with George just last night.

Adelaide ignored her friend's pestering, changing out of her clothes from yesterday and redressed into clean ones. She didn't notice her hands shaking horribly until she was trying to slip on her penny loafers.  Viola skipped towards the door, mistaking Adelaide's silence for agreement "Ah I see, you're surveying your options. Merlin Addie, you're the only person I know who can literally just sit there, breath, and have three men fawn over you, a true icon. Meet you in the Common Room!" she smirked giving her a wink.

She groaned remembering that she had to sit through almost all her classes with Draco, he was bound to ask her what she was crying about. Adelaide contemplated just returning to her bed and staying there all day, but she knew she couldn't afford to miss class.

Her and Viola made their way to breakfast arm-in-arm. They sat at the end of the table, away from their usual spot. While Viola desperately wanted to force Draco and Adelaide to sit next to each other, she didn't want to completely mortify her best friend who she thought was still slightly embarrassed that she had seen Draco making a sneaky exit from their room last night.

Instead she waved over Sebestyen and Luca to sit with them, throwing Adelaide a wicked smirk. Adelaide quickly dropped some Elixir to Induce Euphoria in her tea before they sat down, she hated to be a bore to her new friends and she also couldn't bear the feeling of gnawing pain much longer. She could sense that George was in the Great Hall, but she refrained from every urge she had to look for him.
