giving into all his bullshit, is this what you want, is this who you are?

kenma and hinata spend the night together, and kenma struggles with his feelings.

kenma was not the type to go to parties. one could know that just by looking at him. he preferred to steer clear of people in general, and he spent most of his saturday nights staring at a screen in a dark room, playing video games until two am. that was more fun for him anyways, so he didn't mind it. there were certain people, though, who for some reason seemed to take personal offence to kenma's lack of social interactions, and his best friend kuroo was one of them. kuroo was perhaps the only person who could criticize kenma for his introvertedness and whom kenma was willing to call a friend. despite that, every person who met kenma always seemed to have something to say about his anti social tendencies - well, except for one person, a person whom kenma least expected to be okay with kenma being the way that he was.

it was for this person that kenma was even going to a party in the first place, though he would never admit that, at least not to kuroo, so kuroo was under the impression that kenma had just decided to start being a completely different person when he actually agreed. if it was a regular party, kenma thought he would've been a lot less wary, but for one thing, the party was in the miyagi prefecture, because nekoma was there for a practice match, and for another, it was a party that was mainly for volleyball players. kenma liked volleyball, but not enough to make it his whole personality, like most of the other people he'd met, and he just felt like a poser when he was hanging out with them, but he couldn't help it. if any one of them found out he didn't actually care that much about volleyball, he would probably verbally attacked and abused to no end.

"i'm very glad you're finally getting out of the house," said kuroo proudly, unable to keep the smile off his face, draping his hand over the steering wheel as he was driving kenma to the venue of the party. "and i hope you're planning on putting that game away when we get there."

"as if," kenma scoffed, not bothering to look up from his gameboy. "what else do you want me to do at a party?"

kuroo raised his eyebrows, looking at kenma with a concerned expression. "what do you think people do at parties, kenma?"

"things that i don't like doing," kenma answered promptly.

kuroo rolled his eyes, sighing. "if i can't get you to look up from that, maybe chibi chan can..."

"huh? why would you say that?" asked kenma, a lump forming in his throat as he nervously glanced at kuroo.

"come on, it's pretty obvious," said kuroo, smirking. "you'd do anything for your precious shoyo."

"you're - that's not - i don't say it like that," kenma muttered furiously, hoping he wasn't blushing but feeling his face get hot with embarrassment anyways.

"you do," said kuroo matter-of-factly. "i'm surprised he hasn't noticed yet. but just so you know - if you want something to happen between the two of you tonight, i'd advise you to put that away." as they reached a red light, kuroo snatched the gameboy right out of kenma's hands, clattering it in that little compartment.

"jackass," mumbled kenma, looking out the window. "and no, i'm not expecting anything to happen between me and shoyo tonight."

"why not?" asked kuroo, confused. "you know, i can't be single with you forever. when i get a girlfriend you're gonna be completely alone if you don't have someone as well."

"oh yeah, when's that gonna happen?" scoffed kenma, raising an eyebrow. "look, i don't even know if he's... you know... into guys."

"you guys text a lot, right? does he ever talk about girls?"
