Hello Kittens,

Dropped in with another chapter.**********************************************************************************

'Euphoria' gleamed neon red in the dark Vegas sky. A stark contrast snagging the attention of hungry people.
Max pulled the SUV in the underground parking lot meant for the VIPs and when I meant 'VIPs' it included exclusive associates. There weren't many, a few. The usual parking lot separated this area.
'Euphoria' the club I established was modelled in such a way that not even an FBI agent would decipher its construction. The SUV came to a halt, Max killing the engine. Roman got out scanning the perimeter when he was confident he came by to hold the door open for me.
I scanned the empty parking space beside us.
Empty. He isn't here.
When was the last time fucker revealed his face? Not that I missed him."Boss, " Max called.
Giving him a firm nod I followed the men. Roman and Max ahead of me whilst Phoenix and Diego behind. Ivan didn't tag along with us tonight. Though he will, later. The men at the elevator straightened their spine, bowed pushing the elevator button. It pinged opened. We entered the elevator. No one talked. It was a silent ride until we reached the destination. Once we reached the top floor the elevator doors opened.
"Boss," the two bodyguards said in unison who stood guard at the doors of the VIPs lounge and bowed. Dismissing them we entered the room. Promptly music blowing up my ears. The moment the staff noticed my presence their behaviour changed. They became guarded. Their relaxed mood was gone. Even with the blast of music I sensed their hushed murmurs. The people working on this floor were chosen wisely. They were limited in number. Nevertheless, the floor was always heavily guarded.
"Boss," Hugo, the manager of the club came rushing ushering me in the VIP room. Phoenix and Diego stayed outside the room. Roman and Max following me inside. I took a seat in the dimly lit room.
"The usual?" Hugo asked.
I nodded. He disappeared for a minute only to return with a waitress. She carried a trolley with a bottle of whiskey and ice cubes. She kneeled to pour the whiskey in the glasses all the time her head low. In the two glasses, she added the ice cubes, the last one she kept empty. Looks like a little birdy whispered her my taste in whiskey. I measured her up and down. Her movements were delicate and expert. Delilah, her name tag read hovering over her right breast. Once she was done, she rose on her feet, bowed and disappeared from the room. I didn't miss the tension that left her shoulders when she was gone.
"She's new," Hugo filled in.
I took the glass, the one without the ice cubes gulping a sip. The cold amber liquid scorched my throat, heightening my senses, adrenaline rushing through the veins. Max and Roman picked up the glasses filled with the ice cubes devouring the timber liquid. I nodded at Hugo's words.
"Let me know if you need anything, boss. Also, I've something to show you." Hugo said with uncertainty as if I wouldn't approve of whatever he was going to show me.
I quirked an eyebrow in waiting. He pulled out the sleek device from his suit pocket. Tapping on the screen he revealed her to me. The screen played a video of a toddler taking her first steps. She stumbled on her wobbly steps, balancing herself. After a few unbalanced steps, she dropped down on her butt. Instead of crying, she smiled.
A victory smile.
An innocent smile.
The video ended followed by the clapping sound.
