Chapter 9

Crystalline's POV
I stretch out my arms and rub my eyes. I look around the unfamiliar surroundings then I remember what happened yesterday.

I just sigh and decided to take a fresh air at the balcony. I stand up and walk out to see the garden and pool below. The weather is so clear and beautiful today opposite to what I'm feeling. I can't believe my own mother tell me that. It hurts me so much.

I feel a tear escape my eyes, I quickly wipe it away and go back in.

"Lina? Can I come in?" I heard Louisa call. I open the door and find her with a dress.

"I brought a dress and undergarments for you. Here you can wear it" i take it and politely say thank you. I close the door behind me and walk to the bathroom.

I did my business and came out with the dress. It's a gold rose short sleeves, short dress.

I look at myself at mirror, when I'm satisfied with my look. I came downstairs with my bag and find Louisa at the dining area.

"Lina, you look so beautiful" I look at his husband and thank him. "Sweetheart, come and sit down, let's eat" I sit beside Louisa and serve myself some eggs and bacon with rice. "I'm sorry to burden you but I think I will go home now" I tell them while looking down.

"You are not a burden to us, I miss being a mother and you here makes me so happy" I look at her confuse, "what do you mean? You said, you didn't have any daughter or son, because you can't have one"

She sigh and face me, "I'm sorry, I lied. The truth is that I have a daughter, but she's kidnapped and up until now, we can't find her. We started losing hope but I know she's still alive" I hug her and rub her back. "I know you will find her, just don't lose hope" I encourage her.

We continue eating, but I change the subject. After that I waved them goodbye promising to come back. I drive home with my car and park it at the front of the garage door. I take a deep breath and got out.

I slowly walk to the front door, still not sure if I should go in.
I turn the door knob and look inside to see no one. I sigh in relief and walk to my room.

I think no one is in the house because I didn't hear anything. I decided to watch in Netflix and cook myself my own food.

When night came, I heard their voices downstairs indicating that they are here. I just stay there and watch movies until I fell asleep

Next day
I wake up and sigh as today is Tuesday, I didn't come to school yesterday so I expect a lot of assignments. I stretch out and get ready for today.

I wear a simple yellow hoodie that says honey with red font color, shorts then pair it with a white vans and glasses.

I grab my bag and go downstairs to just get myself a toasted bread then make my way out. I drive towards the school and enter, ignoring all the stares I got.

I waited for Cass to show up but he didn't, he usually goes to my locker to greet me. I guess he's a little late today but I check to see if he's in his locker.

When I arrive at the hallway where his locker at, I see him with a bunch of boys. As I walk closer, I recognize the boys as the school's football team.

I back hug him and mumble a good morning, "oh, you're here. This are my new friends" I look at them and shyly nod.

"Aren't you Maddison's enemy?" I just nod not paying any attention to them, "Am I that famous?" I whispered but they heard it. "Not really" they snicker but I ignore them. "Cass, let's go to class" I started tugging him but he didn't budge, "why is something wrong?" I ask confuse. "No, I...I promise to go with them. I'm sorry..." I force a smile and nod at him, "I guess...but I'll see you later, okay?" He nods and they started walking away.

I sigh and just try to understand him, he's making friends and it's fine. He's happy and I should be too. I walk to my first class, our professor is not yet there so I play with my phone until he arrives.

Lunch time
I'm walking to the cafeteria, excited to see my bf. I open the door and look around for him. My eyes almost fall from its sockets, how the hell? He's at the popular's table laughing with his new friends. He just met them a while ago and now they're that close for him to sit there.

I ordered the one with rice and decided to walk towards them, "ummm Cass? Why are you here? Aren't we supposed to be over there?" I point to where we usually sits every lunch.

"Oh hey! They ask me to sit with them and I couldn't say no. Why don't you just sit here with us?" He said while smiling at me, before I can respond one of them said, "she can't, she's not popular like us. Go away, you bitch!"

I look at Cass waiting for him to say something, "well I guess...you can sit there, I promise I will be there with you tomorrow but not now. Please..." I nod and walk over the table at the end. I sit there alone and eat my meal. He didn't say anything when his friends call me bitch before he will be bad but now didn't. I tried to understand him again, he just want to gain their trust that's all.

I finish eating and walk out to go to my locker then head to my sixth period which is music and arts.

Time skip (end of today's school)
I waited for Cass to came out to say goodbye, after a few minutes he came out with his friends. I shouted his name to get his attention, he said something to his friends then he walk towards me.

"I miss you, can we hang out?" I pout at him, he smiled and hug me. "Sure, at my place?" I nod and we walk to our cars and decided to meet there.

I follow his car and we arrive at a village. The guards talk to him and let us in. I park my car behind his and got out.

His house is big but not as big as ours. He hold my hand and we both walk towards the front door.

When we enter, we see no one, he pull me upstairs to his room. "What do you want to watch?" I sit to his bed and shrug, "anything but not scary movies" He showed me a CD and I nod at him. It's Avengers End game, he put it in the player and lay beside me. I cuddle close to him and we watch the movie silently.

30 minutes in the movie, he talk, "Lina, my friends are going in a party on Saturday. Can I go?" I look up at him with a confuse face. "Why are you asking me?" He kiss my forehead and smile, "of course, your my girlfriend. I need your permission and if you want you can go too" I melt at his words and nod, "of course you can, but be careful. I don't trust girls there, and no, I don't like parties" then I look back at the movie. "Don't worry" he hug me tightly and we watch the rest of the movie in silence.

After the movie, he walk me to my car and kiss my cheeks. "See you at school" I blush and enter my car, "see you!" I drive away and arrive at my house around 7 pm. I park my car and peek my head in to see no one. I go in and silently go up.

I did my night routine and cook for myself downstairs. I carry all the food to my room and do my assignments until 10 pm. When I hit the bed, I instantly fell asleep drifting to dreamland.

This took long, sorry! I have a lot of assignments that I need to finish even though we don't have classes, they keep giving some more. It's fine, I guess but oh well...here it is. I hope y'all like it, have a nice day and love lots!😘💜
