Silence.

They all stood in silence as Max frowned. "Why is it so quiet?"

Slowly, they looked to the door to see that all 3 of the Flood had stopped spraying water and had closed their eyes.

"What are they doing?" Sam whimpered.

Bang!

Nearby, one of the pipes running up the wall burst spraying water over the floor.

"Hang on, what section are we in?" Max asked.

"Section 5," the Commander sighed. "The water is contaminated."

"Did they do that?" Sam asked, frightened. "How did they do that?"

"They control water," the Doctor gulped. "Apparently not just their own water."

"It just gets better and better," Max sarcastically stated.

"Let me see if I can find a way past," the Doctor went forward as the pipe burst even more and sprayed water over him. "DAMN!"

"Doctor!" Stacy screamed.

"I'm so sorry," the Doctor walked forward and put his hand over the burst pipe, stopping the spray. "Go quickly, go!"

"But Doctor," Max bit his lip.

"Go!" The Doctor yelled.

The Commander and Sam ran down the corridor with Max and Stacy following hesitantly.

Zap!

The door opened and the Flood walked through.

The Doctor stood up and approached the Flood. "I have a feeling we're about to become serious friends."

The Flood sprayed him with water as he started to spasm.

"Argh!" The Doctor grunted and dropped his head. He then stopped and looked up. "I'm sorry I really cant fake it."

The Flood continued to spray him.

"Seriously, I do need a shower but I dont really want one with dirty water so can you please stop," the Doctor walked forward as the Flood stopped spraying. "Thank you. Now I'd say it's time we had a little chat."

"The drill is just down here," the Commander pointed right at the junction in the tunnel.

"Right," Max turned round and then realised something. "Hang on! Where is Stacy?"

"She must have turned back," Sam sighed.

"Well, I must go for her," Max turned back.

"No," the Commander went to stop him. "Shes probably gone to far now."

"I've got to," Max ran away.

"Fool!" The Commander sighed. "Come on, let's shut off that drill."

"I assume you can communicate," the Doctor spoke to the Flood. "You could on Mars."

"We can speak," a deep unearthly voice came out of the Flood Derek's cracked mouth.

"Good," the Doctor smiled.

"How are you unaffected?" The Flood Jonas asked, also in a deep voice.

"My species isn't like any other," the Doctor informed them. "I honestly didnt know that I was immune but I'm not complaining."

"Doctor!" Stacy appeared further down the corridor. "Are you okay?"

"You're very stupid coming back here," the Doctor told her without taking his eyes off the Flood. "I could've been under control of the Flood."
