"All will rise," the Judge shouted as everyone stood up. "Welcome to my courtroom. As this is a highly public case all mainstream media have been kept outside and extra security have been put on guard. The first two days of this court will show the prosecutions case. The last two will show the defenses. The defendant has chosen to defend himself rather than use a court appointed lawyer. If the court find the defendant guilty, he will be executed, if he is found not guilty, all charges will be dropped. The prosecutor will now present her case."
"Thank you Judge Maynell," the prosecutor smiled and then gave the Doctor a dirty look. "Today I will prove why the Doctor, is guilty. We were all watching today, the President gliding past, waving happily. We all heard the shot fired. The President dies. All because of this man."
"Objection!" The Doctor yelled.
"Overalled," Judge Maynell didnt make eye contact with the Doctor.
"Not only was the defendant found by the weapon, in the place where the shot was fired, we have found forensic evidence that places his prints on the weapon," the Prosecutor explained.
"OBJECTION!" The Doctor yelled.
"On what grounds," the Judge gave in and asked.
"That evidence has been planted!" The Doctor stared at the prosecutor's notes from the distance. "I said that the only way you could execute me for this murder was by planting evidence, now look what's happening."
"Please may I see the Forensic Evidence," the Judge asked as his assistant gave him some pieces of paper. "The forensic evidence places your prints on the gun."
"Then they've been planted," the Doctor bit his lip.
"Who do you think planted them?" The Prosecutor asked. "Fairies?"
"I don't know if you get fairies on this planet but I never lay a finger on that weapon," the Docror explained.
"Can you prove this?" The Judge asked.
"I was with two friends at the time," the Doctor sighed. "And both of them can confirm that."
"Okay," the Judge nodded. "I'm willing to look past the forensic evidence until I see the defense."
The Prosecutor stood and examined her sheets. "I would like further time to solidify my case."
"On what grounds," the Judge asked.
"Due to the speed of how fast we had to pull this together, some of our evidence needs to be," she paused. "Solidified."
"See they dont know what they're doing," the Doctor laughed.
"No comments," the Judge snapped. "I will allow you this time." He picked up his gavel and smacked it against the table. "Court is adjourned, we will meet again at 6 o clock tonight and continue. Allow the prosecution and the defense time in the study to prepare their cases with witnesses."
They all stood and left the court.

Max and Sophie met outside the court building. "I can't believe that Judge allowed the prosecution more time," Sophie complained.
"He gave us more time as well," Max told her. "But if they're gonna falsify evidence to try and kill the Doctor, there's only one thing we can do."
"Which is?" Sophie raised an eyebrow.
"Find out who the real assassin is and expose them," Max nodded.

It was the prosecutions time in the study and the Prosecutor was patiently waiting for someone to arrive.
