"Aha! That's more like it," the Doctor pointed to an old stone building with smashed windows. "Havent found anything?"
They made their way over to the building and carefully scoped it out before entering.
The Doctor kicked the door down and entered the ruined room shortly followed by his two companions.
Broken machinery desks reflected light from the smashed windows as the Doctor investigated the filling cabinets in the corner.
"What is this place?" Stacy asked as she examined the equipment.
"It looks as though this place used to control the machine over by the sea," the Doctor read through the files. "And several other machines like it on the island."
"We're on an island!" Stacy was excited. "Cool."
"Why are you so happy all of a sudden?" Max built up the nerve to ask her.
"Why do you have to question it?" Stacy crossed her arms.
"Not asking the right questions guys," the Doctor waved a specific file in the air. "The right question is: why are there so many filtration machines around the island?" He bit his lip. "Maybe the sea did chemically break down the stone."
"But you said for the sea to chemically break down the stone," Max started.
"It would have to be the most chemically unstable lake in the known universe," the Doctor was worried. "If just one machine broke, if one spark of fire flew into the sea or if any oppositional element hit it."
"What?" Stacy asked.
"Bang!" The Doctor bit his lip. "An explosion that takes half of the universe with it."
"I told you!" Max ran to the door. "Come on then, let's go."
"Well if the machines are there it should be fine," the Doctor shrugged.
"I'm with Max here," Stacy shook her head. "I dont like this."
"Alright, fine," the Doctor gave up as he lead the way out of the building.

"Workers," the beefy woman lifted herself above the mass of pebbles they had all fallen into. "We must climb back up to our tunnel. You-"
"Aren't paid for nothing," a worker snapped. "We know!"
All of the other workers looked at him with admiration, as if he were sacrificing his life.
"Dont take that tone with me boy," the beefy woman leveled with him and spat in his face. "You know what I do to rebel workers."
"Yes maam," the worker nodded as he backed away from her.
"Now come on!" The woman yelled. "Start Climbing! Its gonna be a hell of a hike."

"Doctor," Stacy panted as she rested on a tree branch. "We're lost aren't we. Oh god."
"If I just had my sonic," the Doctor reasoned.
"Well you dont," Max sighed.
Then they could all hear a whirring noise from ahead.
"Actually," the Doctor frowned. "I dont think we are lost."
They all stepped out of the jungle to see the machine, only sparks flew out of it and smoke billows out of the centre.
"That's not good," the Doctor ran over to the machine.
"And that's even worse," Stacy pointed to the Tardis which had sunken into the ground. The only visible part of it was the light at the top.
