Chapter 19: Human Affection

Me and Zim were back to the way we were before, even though I was still slightly sketchy of his plans of ruling Earth. There was apart of me that believed that he really couldn't do it, even though he claims that he can and he will. Zim never brought up the fact that I kissed him. I was hoping that he was still passed out when it happened, even though when I pulled away he was looking right into my soul. Maybe Zim does not understand or is too weirded out to talk about it. If Zim was curious about kissing, he probably would never stop asking me until I kissed him again. I thought in that moment that I had lost my best friend; therefore I kissed him.

Dib calls me crazy thirty times a day because I still am friends with Zim, even after everything that had happened with Mr. Unyen. What happened with Mr. Unyen? I wish I knew. All I knew was that Mr. Unyen never went home after the end of the day. I remember I was with my family eating dinner and we had saw the news coverage of the missing substitute teacher. "Oh my god," my father says, "he looks weird."

The next day at school, me and Dib were talking about what could had happened with the devilish man. "I think he went the wrong way home or something." I guessed. "(Y/N), if you really believe that, then I can't be associated with you." Dib mutters at me. "Why would you say that?" I asked him as Dib shook his large head.

"Do you NOT remember what happened yesterday?" Dib asks me. I nodded my head but started to come up with scenarios. "Maybe there was a sale at Old Navy or something?" I wondered as Dib made a dramatic sigh. "NO! Zim must've killed him!" Dib shouts, getting everyone's attention in the hallway. Dib looks around nervously. "Oh, uh, killed him with kindness." Dib chuckles awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Shut up you fart." A random kid says in the hallway. Of course everyone thought it was funny. If I were friends with the student, I probably would have found that funny too.

"Dib-"

"No (Y/N), think about it!" Dib pleads with me. As much as I wanted to say that he could have been right, I did not want to express that to him. I did not want to satisfy Dib with being correct. "I don't know Dib. Let's change subject now because this is just getting uncomfortable." I suggested. "Fine," Dib pouts, "where is Zim anyway?"

"GET AWAY YOU CREEP!"

Me and Dib turn our heads to the screaming girl in the hallway, running for her life. There was a guy following her, looked to be worried. "I'M BEHIND YOU BAE KEEP RUNNING!" He yells to her. They run past me and Dib and we both just stood there, wondering what they were running away from.

"WAIT! I NEED ANSWERS!" I knew that loud voice. It was Zim, chasing the two students down the hallway. Dib grins to me and extends his leg to where Zim was running, causing the alien boy to trip and land on the floor. Dib was having a laughing fit while Zim was repeatedly screaming "CURSE YOU" to Dib. I punched Dib right in the shoulder blade, causing Dib to cry out in pain. "OW! That hurt! What gives?" Dib hisses at me while I help Zim up. "Cry about it." I snap at Dib, he looked surprised that I said that. "Whatever, I'm going to class." Dib hisses as he storms off. As for me and Zim, Zim was looking up and down the hallway to see if the two students were around.

"What happened Zim?" I asked with a awkward laugh. Zim looked like he was desperate for something. He sort of had that look where you lost something and you can not find it. "The humans! They were mouthing mouths!" Zim screeches as he gags in disgust. "Say what?" I asked him, now becoming confused myself and slightly scared. "YOU! What you did to me, but, with TONGUES!" Zim explains as I felt my blood become cold. Now I knew exactly what he was talking about. I really wish that Zim did not remember that. I even wish that I didn't kiss Zim in the first place. Who would of thought that Zim would make a big deal out of this? I should have known better than to do something foreign to Zim.
