Chapter 30

 HARMONY'S POV

"So have you looked into it?" Red was sitting across me while playing with her phone. 

"I haven't." I had.

"Oh e anong plano mo? You guys haven't talked to each other since that day. So technically, di pa kayo nagbebreak." 

She's right. But what's the point now? "I know."

"Girl, seriously? Ano yon wala manlang closure? Di mo manlang ba aawayin-" 

"Why would I?" I chuckled. Sa totoo lang kasi, di ko alam kung ano pang point ng pakikipag-argumento sa puntong to. I saw it, then it's done. That's enough explanation, and enough reason for me to stop seeing him. 

"Why, Ny? Just why?" 

"Anong why?"

"Why are you like that? Like yourself."

"I am me."

"I know. Sa sobrang bait mo, people are gonna abuse it. Ny, he cheated on you. He cheated on you and literally made out in the same building as you. But look at you, ni hindi ka manlang nagagalit." 

"I am. Was. Nagalit din ako. But I realized, he did that because he has a reason. He's happier with him. Hindi naman siguro niya sasayangin yung three years namin if masaya pa siya sakin, diba?" nasasaktan ako. 

"Alam mo friend, I love you pero you are so stupid. Di mo manlang ba tatanungin kung bakit niya nagawa yun sayo? Ok scratch that, di mo manlang ba lilinawin sakanya kung ano pang meron kayo? Ny tatlong taon din yun. Alam kong dapat itigil mo na dahil obvious naman na niloko ka niya, but atleast talk to him and end things properly. Wag yung ganito. Siya yung may mali pero hindi ibig sabihin wala ka ng karapatang maunang kumausap." Tama naman si Red. Pero kaya ko ba? 

I don't think I can face the man of my dreams and slowly let him go. The man that I've been loving for three years. Di ko naman yata kayang tapusin lahat kasi mahal ko eh. Oo na, ang tanga. 

"Mahal mo pa no?" 

"S-syempre naman. Hindi naman nawala." Huminga muna ako ng malalim dahil palagay ko, konti nalang at iiyak nako. "Pero dahil nga mahal ko siya, dun ako sa kung saan siya sasaya. Yun naman ipinangako ko sakanya eh. To make him happy." I forced a smile. 

"Even if it'll cost you your own happiness?"

"Even if it'll cost my own happiness."

"Oh Ny." Red hugged me and that was my cue to breakdown. 

"P-pero mahal ko eh. M-mahal na m-mahal. Gusto ko siyang pasayahin pero ayaw ko siyang b-bitawan. Ang sakit, Red. It fucking hurts. Seeing them with my own eyes..." 

"Shhh. Tama na, you'll only hurt yourself more." 

"N-nakita ko eh... n-nakita..."

"I know, I know." she was just patting my back while I cry endlessly in her arms. 

"Pero mas masakit kasi di ko kayang magalit ng matagal sakanya. Mas nangingibabaw yung pagmamahal ko. B-bakit ba kasi g-ganito ako?" 

"Walang mali sayo, okay? It was his fault. Wala kang kasalanan. Choice niyang mag-cheat and you have no control over that. You should not pitty yourself kasi hindi ikaw ang kulang. You are more than enough-"

"So bakit niya ako niloko?"

"Either bulag siya and he can't see your worth o sadyang tanga siya." 

"..."

"You don't have to answer. Basta, siya ang may mali. Nakita ko kayong dalawa kung paano nag-grow as a couple and believe me, Ny. You are the kindest and most precious girlfriend I've ever seen. Yung mga action mo towards him, it's all genuine. I can see how your eyes shine whenever you're with him. Kaya maniwala ka saking hindi ka nagkulang."

"Thanks."

"It's the least I can do."

Third Person's POV

Three days. That's all they have. Sa loob ng tatlong araw na iyon, they went to different places. 

Mula sa Intramuros, napadpad ulit sila sa Batangas. They went camping to different campsites, went shopping at different convinient stores, nag-roadtrip, nagkiparty sa mga piyestang naabutan nila while on the way to God knows where. They surfed in Siargao, explored caves in Palawan, and many more. 

You may be wondering how the hell they did that in a span of three days, but I think only those two can answer that. They know that their time together will soon end, that's why they made the most out of it. 

"Di ka pa ba pagod?" one of them asked at some point. But the other only answered with a shrug and "How can I be? I'm with the person who gives me strength." 

They were happy with the thing they called paradise. But we all know that it might end. Sadly, it did. 

a text message from Ny:

Come home now. He's back.
