Not only is finding your personal style exhausting, but having the confidence to wear it is even more draining.

But this blog post that you are reading will help you to find both of those things. How crazy?!

You don't need much to find your personal style and the confidence to wear it....as long as you've got some time, a device to read this blog and determination.

I believe that anyone can get into fashion: whether they are rich or poor, beautiful or not, classy or sassy....everyone can find the secret pass into it!

You might be wondering: "Jenna, what's the difference between fashion and style?"
Fashion is a term that is used all too often because fashion is alright but it's not permanent. Fashion comes and goes like the weather because it's a "trend". But style is something that you own and something that is more personal to you. That's the main difference between the two terms.

There are lots of different ways out there to find your personal style, but I've narrowed it down to four basic ways to help you find your personal style. So if you are listening carefully, I'll get on with it....

1. Body shape. Some people actually skip the "body shape" step when finding their personal style or choosing a new wardrobe and I think that is so WRONG. Your body shape is something that is a vital step when searching for your new style.

You need to know which body shape you have in order to dress your best. And once you've figured out which body shape you have, you need to learn how to dress for your body shape.

What looks good on someone else's body might not look as good on yours because every body shape has different styling requirements that need to be met. The hourglass body is a well-proportioned shape with a tiny waist so needs to be balanced well whilst defining the tiny waist. The typical apple body shape is usually well-proportioned with a larger stomach so needs to be dressed in high-waisted things to cover up the problem area.

I am by no means saying that one body type is better than the others because there technically is no "ideal" body type. Every body shape has their own pros and cons so don't think that one is better than the other. You should only want to know your body shape so that you can dress to look your best.

Your body is constantly changing so make sure that you stay up-to-date with your measurements so that you always find the perfect fit.

2. Colour theory. The colour theory goes way back to the 1600's when Sir Isaac Newton discovered the colour theory and invented the colour wheel.

And a lot more has happened to the colour theory since then and now we can link colours and clothing together to make the clothing colour theory!

You may have never heard of the colour theory before, especially where your style is concerned, and that's totally okay.
The colour theory is basically which colours work together in order to make you look your best. Which colours look best on you are determined by your skin, hair and eye colour.

People who have used the colour theory when picking out a new wardrobe have confirmed that it works and they have noticed that their: skin looks brighter, eyes shine clearer and teeth smile whiter. (I can also confirm that this works!)

Using colours from your colour palette will make you appear healthier. Your skin will glow and you won't look drained and tired all of the time, (so if Karen from around the block always mentions to you that "you are looking very sick today" tell her to mind her own business because you have the secret of the colour theory up your sleeve!)
