Body issues and style: How to style yourself confident

Do you ever just dream about being a child again? You could play all day then come home and sleep for around ten hours straight without any disturbance?
How you didn't worry about what you put in your mouth because calories didn't concern you? And how you could wear a dress without worrying what people thought about you.
Ahhh. Those were the days.

I remember my childhood all too well - I didn't have any cares in the world and I was as confident in my own skin as anybody could ever be. But then one day that all changed....

It disheartens me that so many women out there struggle with their self confidence: whether that's because of their weight, the colour of their skin or how they look in general.

I am writing this blog post about how to style yourself confident, basically meaning that through your choice of clothes and style, you can be as confident as the next person.

A lovely, beautiful young woman named Megan had everything going for her: she had the looks, the brains, the skills and the good charms. But the only thing she lacked in was confidence.
Megan was forever covering herself up in public at the fear of someone making a snide remark about the way she looks. She wore dark colours all the time so that she wouldn't be drawing extra attention to herself. She just felt so uncomfortable in her own skin that sometimes she was too afraid to leave the house incase someone said something horrible to her.

But then she found this blog post of mine and she had a completely different view of herself.
She could finally wear bright and bold colours in her wardrobe. She felt comfortable experimenting with different makeup products as she didn't mind the attention anymore.
And she finally found her true love that she had been looking for all her life and they managed to settle down and get married.

And Megan's life changed for the better all because of this blog post that you are reading right now.

In this blog post I am going to be sharing with you my seven secrets on how to style yourself confident.
It may not sound like much, but the end results are totally worth it!

1. Know your body. One of the basic ways to style yourself confident is by knowing what your body type is.

There are five basic body shapes: hourglass, straight, pear, apple and inverted triangle.

You need to know what body shape you have when dressing yourself. When you dress to match your body shape, you instantly feel more confident in your own body.

How you dress for your body will determine how others look at you....and also how you look at yourself.

I would suggest researching how to dress for your body shape and then you can be as experimental as you wish.

2. Find your problem areas. If you don't know what areas of your body you like and don't like, you're doing something seriously wrong.

In order to style yourself more confidently, you should find the areas that you need to work on and work around them.
Let's say, for example: that your stomach is the biggest "problem" that your body owns. Well you should research ways on how to flatter and conceal your bulging stomach.
