Warnings: Smut, no dialogue, fluffiness

This Yuletide, Haldir wasn't going anywhere. It wasn't that there weren't things that he could be doing, it was that he didn't want to. As far as he was concerned, he had something far more important to do.

A part of him still couldn't believe it, that his wife was lying next to him, fast asleep, and that is where she would be for the rest of their lives and beyond. He watched, for a long moment, admiring her, silver hair glowing in the morning light, soft skin just touched with bruising from their lovemaking the night before. Her chest rose and fell evenly, still in a deep sleep, unworried for the world and whatever the day would bring.

He couldn't help himself, hand reaching out gently gliding along her back in a soft, barely there touch. Goosebumps rose on her skin on but she doesn't stir, making him smile, enjoying this time he had to himself to see her in all her perfect beauty.

His hand moved down a little more, sliding the blanket down a little, making a subconscious shiver go through her as the air touched her skin. The room was warm still, and for a moment, Haldir almost considered stoking the embers still burning away in the fireplace, but it was quickly pushed from his mind as a small noise left her throat.

A soft kiss is pressed to her shoulder, allowing a soft sigh from her lips, before he continued. He took his time, kisses unhurried, hand lightly tracing patterns on her skin. This was how he wanted to spend his day. This was how he wanted to celebrate.

A sleepy mumble leaves her and she stretches a little, drawing in a deep breath, tipping her head back to look at him. Haldir greets her with a kiss, a soft moan soon pulled from her lips, his kisses slow and deliberate, tongue gently teasing. He cups her cheek in his hand, easing himself closer, needing their bodies to be touching, and he feels her shiver, making him smile.

She whispered his name against his lips, and he smiled, his next kiss reassuring, his touch soothing. Her hand reached up and her fingers slid into his hair, holding him close, a soft sigh leaving him knowing that she wanted this as much as he did.

Haldir's hand slid slowly down her body, feeling her shiver, knowing he had it all committed to memory. He cupped one of her breasts, carefully kneading it, tweaking her nipple, and he swallowed a small moan that escaped her.

Her hips slowly began to rock back against him and he finally broke the kiss, allowing her to breathe, focusing back on her neck and shoulders. His hand slipped lower down her body, an anticipatory shiver going through her, her heart rate picking up.

Quite words of adoration whisper softly in her ears, making her smile, making her laugh softly, something he returns. This was what magic should be, these quiet, perfect moments that the two of them could share, it was all the gift that he could hope for, and he had every intention of making it last.

A hand pressed against her core, her breath catching in her throat, and he slowly begins to tease.

The noises that began to leave her was music to ears, sweeter than anything he'd ever heard before or would ever hear again. Her hand gripped his arm, encouraging him more, a plea leaving her lips as the rocking back of her hips grows in urgency. She wanted him, more than anything, and that would always be enough for him.

He whispered words in her ears and she turns in his arms, facing him, her leg wrapping around his waist as they press chest to chest. She kisses him, brushing his hair back for a moment before her hand moves to him, taking her time to stroke and tease him, his moan stolen by her kisses.

Slowly, it all got too much, and he takes her hand, kissing it over as they take a moment to breath. He nudges her nose softly, their eyes meeting, his questioning and hers answering.

Haldir guides himself into her, a small whimper leaving her as their foreheads rest together. They still for a long moment, adjusting, stealing soft kisses from each other, before she testingly rolls hers hips, a moan leaving them both.

A slow rhythm builds between the two of them, kisses growing firmer, fingers pressing harder into skin. Neither of them were eager to rush, but it didn't stop them wanting to be as close as possible to the other, always shifting slightly in an effort to do so.

They could feel the other drawing close, knowing the others tells well by now, but neither wanted the pace to change. Kisses deepened further, even as they moaned softly, the perfection of the morning settling over them, and with hands holding tightly to the other in hair and on skin.

A shudder and a gasp escaped them both, but it was momentary, lips soon returning to the others, bodies still rocking together. Slowly they eased and rested, her head buried down against his chest, their eyes closed as they enjoyed the presence of the other.

Haldir watches her silvery strands of hair fall from his finger as he brushed her hair, watching in awe and admiration, wondering how something so simple could be so beautiful. She stirred a little looked at him, and his breathe was stolen from him at the admiration and love in her eyes.

He smiles and she returns it, the two of them laughing softly as singing distantly filters into their room, the morning celebrations beginning.

They knew they should be joining, but Haldir didn't get to ask what she wanted to do as her lips press back to his, and she eases him on his back, straddling him.

This Yuletide, Haldir laughs softly, never having been happier not to be going anywhere.
