Somewhere Only We Know

So here's what you missed on Somewhere Only We Know. The kids are counting down the days till they go to sectionals and it was time to choose a soloist. Kurt, Blaine and Rachel all auditioned. Rachel sang The Only Exception, Blaine sang Something's Coming but Kurt knocked the competition out of the water as he sang Turning Tables. Blaine wanted to know why Kurt sang that song as he presumed it had something to do with him. Kurt got really angry and revealed that he loved Blaine and then told him to leave Kurt alone. It was like so dramatic! Then, Blaine sang I still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For but Kurt still wouldn't forgive him. Guess he's got to try harder than that. And that's what you missed on Somewhere Only We Know!

Kurt had been feeling very lonely at home over the last few days. Carole and his Dad were in Washington but he had got used to spending time with Blaine. But Blaine did as he wished. He stayed away from Kurt. He stayed out till late and left early in the morning. Kurt was happy that he didn't have to spend time thinking about the smaller boy but he did kind of miss him. And Kurt had become increasingly worried. Every time in class or glee club that he saw Blaine, he always looked so out of it, like something was constantly torturing his mind. Kurt did still care about Blaine and he didn't like seeing him so upset. But every time he went to ask what was wrong, he stopped himself. Blaine had treated him awfully and he wasn't going to help the boy now. 

It was the end of their French lesson and their teacher dismissed everyone. As he was walking out, Kurt glanced back into the room. He saw Blaine still sitting down, looking like he was miles away. Kurt sighed. He should leave and not look back. He shouldn't go help Blaine. But he couldn't help himself. Kurt really did miss spending time with Blaine. He walked back into the choir room and called out the smaller boy's name but he didn't respond. Kurt walked to his side and tapped his arm. 

"Blaine?" This seemed to snap him out of his daydream as he turned his head to stare at the taller boy. "Kurt?" Blaine said. Kurt was immediately worried. His voice seemed so strained and shaky as if he had been shouting a lot. 

"You know it's time to leave, right?" he asked. Blaine looked around and was surprised to see that there was no one else there. "Oh yeah, I was just thinking about something." Kurt nodded. He wasn't sure he believed the boy. 

"You know you can tell me anything right." Kurt said, placing his hand on Blaine's. 

"I thought you didn't  care about me anymore." Blaine said, almost sounding bitter and angry. 

"I'll always care about you." he replied, giving his hand a squeeze. 

"Just tell me what's going on, Blaine. It's starting to scare me. I'm worried about you." Blaine shook his head. "I don't want to involve you." Kurt sighed and moved closer to the other boy. 

"I just want to help. I just want to see you smile again." Blaine looked at Kurt. He could tell him everything. He could get everything his chest. He didn't have to go through this alone. But if he told Kurt about this, then Kurt would try to get involved and he would end up getting hurt. And Blaine couldn't live with himself if that happened. 

"No. It's fine. It's not a big deal anyway. My problems really don't matter." the curly-haired boy muttered. Kurt pursed his lips. Part of him wanted to get angry and to yell at Blaine. But that probably would've pushed Blaine over the edge. So Kurt took a different approach. 

"Bunk off with me." 

"What?"

"Let's go and I'll take you somewhere special this afternoon. You won't let me help with your problems and I respect that but I want to make you feel better. I want to put your adorable smile back on your face." Blaine hesitated as he took Kurt's offer into consideration. He could get in trouble if he left but he did really want to spend some time with Kurt. And it would be nice to forget his problems for one afternoon.
