Somewhere Only We Know

Truth

So here's what you missed on Somewhere Only We Know. The New Directions went to sectionals and they won, which means they're going to be regionals. It's going to be tons of fun. Things have been really awkward between Kurt and Blaine since they kissed and they're not really even friends anymore. It's super sad! And that's what you missed on Somewhere Only We Know! 

Kurt sat down at the kitchen table and placed his bowl of cereal on the table. He started to eat just as Blaine walked in. 

"Morning." the curly-haired boy said, breaking the awkward smile. Kurt nodded and gave him a small smile. Blaine sat down next to Kurt, much to the latter's surprise. They hadn't really spent much time together since the kiss. 

"I wanted to apologise. I've been a jerk and you are absolutely right to hate me and be angry at me. And I'm sorry for......well, everything. I really like spending time with you Kurt. You're really.....cool. Maybe we can try and forget.......everything that's happened and go back to being friends." Blaine explained. Kurt studied the other boy, trying to figure out what to say. He loved spending time with Blaine. He was just so funny and sweet and made Kurt feel amazing and alive. But spending time with Blaine where he couldn't just lean over and kiss him was painful and hard. Every time he looked at him, it was like his heart was being carved out of his chest. But it would be better than this  awkward silence that was created whenever they were near each other. 

"I'd like that too." Kurt said with a small smile. 

"Cool. So I'm going out tonight again." Blaine said. Kurt couldn't help but sigh. Every time Blaine went out, something bad seemed to happen. "Where do you go anyway?" Kurt asked. The other boy froze. 

"Oh, err, just out. Y'know going different places." he said before walking away quickly. Why did he always have to do that? Kurt decided to stay up till Blaine got home just to make sure he was okay. He kind of had a bad feeling about all of this. Luckily, he wasn't actually that late home. He was sitting watching Project Runway when he heard the door open. Kurt paused his show and got up to greet the other boy. But what he saw shocked him. 

"Oh god, Blaine. What the hell happened to your eye?" It looked like he could barely keep it open and there was already a purple bruise forming round it. 

"I didn't think you'd still be up." he muttered softly, avoiding the question. He didn't want to talk to Kurt about this. He walked past Kurt and headed to the kitchen. 

"Blaine Devon Anderson! Stop and talk to me! Where were you tonight?" Blaine clenched his jaw and tried to stop tears pouring down his face. He knew Kurt wasn't going to let this go. He knew he had to come clean and reveal the truth. He turned away, feeling slightly ashamed with himself. 

"I visited my parents. That's what I do every time." he said softly. Everything clicked in Kurt's head. It all made sense if he was correct in his thinking. But he had a very important question to ask Blaine. He cautiously approached him and placed a hand on his arm. 

"Blaine, I'm going to ask you a question and I need you to be honest with me. Did your parents do this to your eye?" Then, Blaine broke down. He crashed into Kurt's embrace and started sobbing into his shoulder. He had been so strong for so long and kept all of the bad emotions in. He just couldn't do it anymore. Kurt rubbed the boy's back soothingly, trying to comfort him. 

"It's going to be okay. We're going to deal with this." he whispered softly into Blaine's ear. Placing a soft kiss on his soft curls, Kurt found that his eyes were swimming. How could someone hurt this perfect angel? After much coaxing and a few kisses on the top of his head, Kurt had got Blaine to sit down by himself. Kurt made two cups of hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows on top. Kurt sat down too and was immediately attacked by Blaine snuggling into him. Kurt ran his hands through Blaine's hair, trying to get the boy to calm down.
