~~2 weeks later (December 16th)~~

I woke up in the middle of the night. I had a weird dream.

It was about Ben. At the winter ball, he was confused that he was in love with me. It felt so real. I went with Tyler, and Ben showed up alone with a box in his hand. It was a promise ring, and he pulled me into the center of the gym and told me he wanted to be with me.

So it was pretty disappointing when I woke up at 4 am to a dark room to see that I was alone.

I tried to go back to sleep, so I turned to face the window, and when I looked outside, I saw the lights of Ben's car. I slowly got up to look out my window, and I saw him getting in it.

So doing what any ordinary girl would do at 4 in the morning, I ran downstairs and out the front door and hopped in my car, and followed him.

I didn't let my car sit long enough because it made sketchy sounds as I drove down the street. I finally caught up a couple of cars behind him, but I could still see what streets he turned down.

I followed behind him, keeping my distance, so he didn't notice my car.

After a couple of minutes, he turned down a country road which meant I had to travel even further behind him so he didn't notice. After a couple of minutes, he turns into this massive dome-like building. I wait a couple of seconds before I turn into the parking lot of the building as well.

I back up into a couple of parking spaces behind him, and I jump into the back seat of my car to look out the rear window.

Shortly after, a grey Honda Civic pulls up right next to him.

She was pretty tall and skinny. She had red hair tied up into a ponytail and was dancing as she walked to his car.

He got out of his car, and he started laughing at something she was saying. She hugged him, and they began to walk into the building.

I hate to be a stalker, but I quickly moved my car closer to the building to peek inside the glass door; it appeared to be an indoor track and workout area. I promptly duck as Ben passes by the main door, I glance back up again, and it takes me a minute to find them again. They were on the other side of the track stretching.

I didn't even notice the people passing me going through the building. They looked at me weirdly, probably because I had pajamas and rain boots.

I sprint back to my car.

I can't believe I followed him here; I don't understand what overcame me.

Maybe curiosity, but the thing is, we hung out yesterday. He came over to play Xbox with Chase and me.

The bad thing is Chase and Ben are starting to become good friends, and now Ben is over 24/7. Sometimes I hang out with them, and I stay in my room until he leaves.

It just depends on how awkward things are. He hasn't talked about his feelings since the night I went over there, and he held me to the point I thought we were going to kiss

I shouldn't feel jealous anyways, I am still with Tyler, and Ben is now hanging around with this redhead.

I waited too long to confess my feelings. I told him when he was unconscious.

As I slowly drove home, it was close to 5 am. I was so tired of it all. It was all just bad timing and misunderstanding.

As soon as I return home, I creep through the front door, hoping my parents wouldn't wake up.

I slide back into bed and click on Instagram. I recently started following our high school insta page, where they post about important dates.

I noticed the Winter Ball is in 6 days. It was in the middle of our winter break. From what I heard, it was the most popular dance at school, more so than homecoming and some years even more popular than prom.
