chapter thirteen

The next day, I couldn't stop thinking about Adrian and seeing him after classes. The day went pretty fast, till it was after classes, when I was meeting with Adrian in the library.

I enter the library, as I walk around, till I saw Adrian sitting in a seat, as he was writing something. I smile as I walk towards him, till he lifts his head up. He smiles, "I was wondering when you'll be showing up" He says.

I chuckle a little as I take the seat next to him and sit next to him. "How are you?" He asks.

"I'm good, how are you?" I ask.

He chuckles, "I'm alright.. I'm sorry if you were busy today or something.." He mumbles.

I raise my eyebrows, "Oh, no, not at all! Don't be sorry it's alright" I say.

He nods slowly as he smiles a little at me. We spoke for a while in the library. We spoke about our classes, students, Hogwarts in general. Adrian even helped me a little with my Astronomy homework.

I laugh, "I can't believe you did that to Flint once" I say.

He chuckles, "The guy deserved it"

We both laugh till we found each other looking at each other. "So, I realised you sit with Malfoy and his friends" He says.

I nod, "Yeah I do, although we're not really that close" I mumble.

He gives me a confused look, "What do you mean?"

I chuckle, "Malfoy and I don't see eye-to-eye basically.. It's like he's so nice to everyone, and once he see's me, it's like I change his mood"

He raises his eyebrows, "Really? I mean.. you hangout with him and his friends and all.."

"Yeah, but his friends are also my friends, Alexa, Pansy and Bella.. we all have each other in a way.."

"Oh god, don't get me started on Parkinson.." He laughs.

I smile, "What do you mean?" I ask.

"Last year, she used to always stare at me.. I didn't know why like I thought I had something on my face by how much she looked at me, till one day she came to me and actually asked if we could hangout. I rejected obviously, but it was just so weird.."

I widen my eyes, "Wow, I didn't even know about that.."

"I guess we all have our own secrets" He mumbles.

I nod, "Yeah, I guess we do" We both look at each other for a few seconds as we just smiled at each other, "And Blaise and Flint?" He asks. I found myself looking at his arm on the table, as he held onto the pen over the piece of paper, "They're like my brothers I guess, they have my back as well, even once Malfoy is being an ass.."

He nods, "Do you have any siblings?" He asks.

I shake my head, "Sadly no, I don't.. do you?" I ask.

"Yeah, i have a little sister, she's 8 years old" He says.

I smile, "Are you like a protective brother or something towards her?"

He laughs, "At times, yeah I would be-"

"Pucey!" Adrian gets interrupted when Draco walks towards us with a smirk on his face. I roll my eyes as I look at Adrian, "Malfoy, how've you been?" He asks.

"I've been alright, you?" He asks.

Adrian nods, "Pretty good" He mumbles. Draco looks at him till he turns his head to look at me, "Oh god, what're you doing here?" He mutters.

I scoff, "I could ask you the same thing"

"I'm here to study, if it is any of your concern.. and what're you doing here Blackwood?"

"I'm here with Adrian, if it is any of your concern" I smirk as I mock Draco while Adrian chuckles a little.

He stares at me till he looks at Adrian, "Whatever, Pucey, a little tip for the future, don't get close with her. There's better people to hangout with at Hogwarts than her, and her little attitude" He spits out.

Adrian looks up at him for a few seconds before Draco walks away. "Ignore him" Adrian says to me.

I nod my head, "I'm used to it"

"He really doesn't hold back towards you, does he?" He mumbles.

I scoff, "I guess not" I say.

He chuckles, "So, Blackwood," I smile a little, "Will I be seeing you next week?" He asks.

"Im not sure, will I?" I smirk.

He laughs, "Thats if your up for it"

I chuckle, "Sure, same place?"

He smiles, "Yeah, sure"
